Renato and Francisco fixed our iPhone that just died and provided awesome service! They were friendly, helpful, professional, and FAST! The diagnosis would have been 14€ if they couldn’t fix it, but was waived/included in the 40€ charge when they were able to fix it. They ran diagnostics and deleted the bug that caused it to go black, and it only took 20 minutes!

The store was very clean and well-stocked, if you’re looking to buy an Apple product, this is the place.

Take into account that Madeira is an island, that were it not for immigration, Madeira would register a negative population drain each year, many of these youth seeking opportunities on the mainland. Apple-certified technicians are not in abundance. Schedules are tight. So, yes, it will take a week, ten days or more to order a part, have it installed, and device duly tested. You can't order an iPhone an have it show up in 3 days. If the expectation is that you're at an Apple store in Paris, London, Madrid, or another major European capital, not to speak of major US cities, you're going to find lots of reasons to express dissatisfaction. Because Madeira is my home (having emigrated from the USA, and having lived in several major cities around the world), and being my home acquainted with some of the business and cultural idiosyncrasies, I can offer a fair review. As far as Apple needs are concerned, you won't fare better elsewhere. I had a keyboard (MacBook Air) replaced and it was done in good time and perfectly well. I've purchased peripherals. When it is time to purchase a new machine, I don't anticipate going elsewhere. You can get any model and have it configured to your specifications. The mostly young men who run the store speak English, in the event that is important to you. They aren't the most gregarious bunch, but they are competent and know their products. Let us say that "customer service" isn't a priority in most businesses I've dealt with in Portugal. Prices for Apple products in Europe are higher than the USA, sometimes by several hundred Euro. That isn't a function of the store trying to make an extra buck. Prices in Madiera are in sync with the Portuguese mainland (as far as I can tell). Overall, an excellent store meeting (in due course) all of our Apple needs.
