Banana's Pub

Had a great meal here and found the music to be right up our street. The staff were very attentive and friendly.I enjoyed the sliced steak and chicken dish.

Smiling staff, unbeatable prices and great food. We have been to fancy places too in Madeira and Banana's is just the sweet spot for every tourist to come back. There is live music in the evenings. I'll dream about the steak cheese sandwiches (prego) I ate here after we return. A must visit.

It is a great bar to sit outside and relax. Everything about Banana's is brilliant and so were the prices. We really enjoyed their home made chips....

Gorgeous sun trap and with amazing cocktails. We spent many lovely afternoons here enjoying a reasonably priced tipple or two. Staff are friendly but could be a little more attentive, although that could just be a culture difference. Can’t comment on the food but definitely recommend for drinks

Great variety of drinks freshly made by the bar. Food, really great value for money! and tasty too. Definitely recommend it as you can find all puncha flovours. Staff is attentive and Marco the owner is a great guy. 5* across the board.

Great atmosphere in this cosy pub. Didn't try the food, but their drinks were great and for a good prize. Kind staff and nice live music almost every night. You could notice the popularity of this place since in the evening it could be hard to find a free table.

Despite testing other places this place always felt like the place you wanted to go to. The atmosphere is great, waitresses really kind and there was often live music. We cisited this place 3 nights out of 7. If you need to pick one place for the night, this is a good choice.

Some drinks were not 5/5 but the overall vibe makes it our favorite place. Drinks prices were also quite good.

If you want to listen to good music, eat, drink and enjoy the streets of Madeira. And at the same time, not spend a lot of money. I advise you to try Banana's Pub.
But before you go, call and reserve your table because it's always full until the end of the Live Music show at 10 pm.

Really nice places with great cocktails for reasonable price. Live music in the evening creates great atmosphere.

Such a great place at the Zona Velha. Very wide range of drinks, spirits, wines and beers. Food was also delicious. Service can be a bit slow when its busiest, so if you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. As we were on holidays, with plenty of time, we enjoyed the waiting with a very good live music (icing on the cake) on a Saturday evening!! Well worth!
Try the passion fruit caipirinha! Thank me later!

First night in Funchal having landed at 8.30 in the evening. Not too bad a Ryan air flight. Sat outside for a couple. No food as too late but lots of people out and about. The local beer is Coral. Cold, fizzy and bland but when in .... Enjoyable visit. Got a bit chilly but that's Madeira. The Atlantic keeps the temp moderate. Good 3rd bar to visit. ... and back for final visit on last night..tangerine poncha. Yum

We can recommend this pub. Everything was great there. There was musician every single day. Perfect atmosphere!

Amazing night, food was delicious as I went with the pub own picado speciality, music was good and drinks, starters and staff were perfection!
I'm definitely coming back when I return to Madeira

Really nice cocktails for a good price. Staff is very friendly. The square is cute and sometimes there's some live music.

Great place to sit and have a drink and something to eat. Both nights we went they had a singer/duo playing outside. One of the best pina coladas I've had. Staff were attentive and friendly

Great little pub in the old town of Funchal. Nice atmosphere and the staff are great to, best part is the drinks are cheap but nice.

The cocktails were suppr yummy! We ordered tomato soup with some garlic bread, which were vey delicious as well!. There was also lovely life music which made our evening super enjoyable✨
