Very Traditional Madeiran place. Fast service, the meat is just 🤤 . Desserts 🍨 / try maracuja one.. it is very good.
Exceptional tomatoes in the salad, so fresh and juicy.
Love this place and will return over and over again.

Booking not possible, just come and be served , but better come earlier so you have your table, as it gets pretty full at 7:30-8pm

Simple meat on stick menu and not much else but really nicely cooked good value as you really need 1 between 2.
Authentic wood fired and laurel option.

Lovely.

Huge place and large car park above it.

You should come here to get the famous beef Skewers. Directly prepared from fresh meat in the fire. Alternatives with chicken is also possible. Great and fast service. Good wines

Very good food and atmosphere.
Beware: the parking lot is insanely crowded and on a small but steep hill / ramp. Park anywhere else!!

A personal recommendation from a good friend who is a Madeiran native.

We arrived at the end of lunch service. There was space for us as we hadn't booked. Restaurant was pretty full and busy with locals which is great to see.

Menu is pretty focused on what they do well.

The beef on skewers was delicious. We ordered the option of a laurel branch skewer which really added to the flavour.

Chicken skewer was also tasty 😋

Salad fresh and fries were crispy.

Coffee to finish as we had no space left for desserts

Highly recommended. You need to eat here!

The food and service are really good. The meat is moist and tender. The corn cubes are a treat.

We had two skewers and a couple sides; small is not small at all. Big portions, big skewers and all are tasty and not that expensive.

50 bucks including drinks… what an awesome place.

The drive up to the parkinglot is good if you’re car is strong enough!

Best espetada in Madeira! Absolutely delicious! On the other hand, our waiter was not friendly at all. Free parking spots in front of the restaurant or in the street below.

Amazing place to try the traditional "Espetadas Madeirenses" tender and tasty meat in a sophisticated restaurant. We had the beef and the chicken skewers, with fried cornmeal, french fries and salad.

Definitely check this place out if you’re in Madeira. The meat is awesome and all the side dishes as well! Wine was a bit expensive on the other hand. Overall a great meal, with an awesome service and atmosphere. Food arrives in less than 20mins, which is the greatest part of this place! Nada

So far the best espetada I've had in Madeira. Well seasoned fries, great fresh salad and very good wine. The passion fruit pudding was also excellent.

Recommended by locals and it was good & tast. Asl for mid -red. The difference between the traditional and the regular is that the treditional has bay laurel and its on a wooden stick vs a stainless steel. We like the standard better. They also serve fried polenta which was nice.and fresh salad

Beef grilled on laurel branch skewers, chips and the garlic bread - one of the best meals we had on the island.

What a great, amazing discovery this restaurant represented in our stay in Madeira. After a mesmerizing trek, we found this restaurant while searching google maps for beef laurel skewer. In one word, their laurel skewer is the tastiest! The beef is incredibly soft and well seasoned, moreover it is grilled in a wood oven, that you can admire just behind the counter. The fried corn, the “bolo do caco” with garlic butter and even the salad all was served in fair portions and with by very professional and nice staff. Wonderful thank experience. We totally recommend it.

A friend suggested this place and we didn’t missed the chance to try it. After a long day exploring the island this was the best reward possible. Not that easy to reach but nothing in Madeira is easy to reach! The specialty here is espetada, beef skewer. Delicious soft meet covered with garlic (if you don’t like garlic don’t even come to Portugal!), amazing and tasty fried polenta (corn meal mushed) and lattice with tomatoes and onions as a side. Great dinner! Take one espetada per person, you won’t regret it! Absolutely recommended!!

Went to a few place to eat “Espetada” the traditional Madeirense BBQ. This was by far the nicest place and definitely the nicest meat. We had chicken wing as a starter together with some poncha regional which was both delicious. The seasoning on the chicken was very good then we moved to meat on the bone espetada and that was so delicious! I highly recommend this place and I would definitely comeback

This restaurant deserves the fantastic rating it already has. Our food was incredible. So far it’s been the best meal we have had on the island. The espetada with the bone in was some of the best and most juicy steak we have ever eaten and we also enjoyed the chicken espetada which was pieces of chicken on a skewer was also just incredible. Definitely a must visit restaurant. I also loved their fries that came with a bit of garlic. There was enough parking at the top of the restaurant and it was great that they did not take any bookings. I can recommend coming around 12om because the restaurant quickly filled up after 1pm. 6/5!!! Great place!

Great food, great experience
The waiters were very helpful, friendly, they explained everything. They told us before that the portions were big so we avoided spending unnecessary money even if they could
I would totally recommend it.
