Great people, great wine, great beer, and amazing time together in this lovely place

Great staff,great wine,lovely cheese board with bottle of wine. Came here a lot on our two week holiday. Lovely tapas especially bruschetta and chicken. Couldn't ask for friendlier staff.

This was a perfect finish to our day. The owner and other patrons were very friendly and kind. The wine was excellent as the cheese board. I wish we lived here so we could come more often.

Amazing place to have a good time, where you can have a good wine with "tapas".

We love that place. First we wanted to go there just for a glas of wine. At the end of the day we had choice wines AND great food. So we returned (a couple of times :). The owner is very considerated. We felt really conformable at tinta negra wine bar.

What a great place and a lovely owner too! We went there for a pre-dinner drink which was great and the prices are amazingly cheap. A fault with the card payment system meant we couldn't pay and the owner trusted us to return and pay. He also gave us some tips for other places to visit.

The guys are really kind and attentive, they advised a very nice bottle of wine, which we enjoyed with a pleasant charcuterie board! Just avoid the expensive wine bars in Sao Martinho and head here, just a few kilometres from Funchal, you won't be disappointed

A small charming and cool Bar with exceedingly friendly staff. We especially recommend trying the Poncha which is made freshly and tastes phenomenal. With every drink we even received a small plate of tapas which were delicious. Will come again!

Um excelente local para um convívio com bons vinhos. A acompanhar o vinho, servem pequenos petiscos que vale a pena provar. Adorei o patê, as batatas rústicas as bolinhas de alheira.
O local é acolhedor e o staff muito atencioso.

Wir waren während unserem 14 tägigem Urlaub einige male in der Weinbar. Die Location ist super schön, wir fühlten uns gleich sehr wohl. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und wir konnten uns gut auf englisch verständigen. Die Karte ist leider nur auf Portugiesisch. Aber wir haben trotzdem immer was leckeres zu essen und trinken gefunden. Die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung.Der Wein ist super es gab auch immer etwas zu snacken beim Wein. Der Poncha wird hier frisch zubereitet und das Brot mit Knoblauchbutter ist das Beste der Insel.

Wir waren durch Zufall dort, es hätte nichts besseres passieren können. Der Inhaber ist wirklich sehr gastfreundlich, er gab uns Tipps, Ratschläge zu Wein, Madeira, Snacks, einheimischen kleinen Speisen, etc. Wir können die Weinbar mit guten Gewissen empfehlen. Wir waren während unserer paar Tage mehrmals dort und sollten wir wieder mal nach Madeira kommen fahren wir wieder zu ihm hin.

Sehr schönes ruhiges und angenehmes Ambiente und sehr freundlicher Wirt. Super Wein und leckere Käse/Schinkenplatte zu einer Flasche Wein dazu :) zu empfehlen.

Un bar à vin très sympathique. À découvrir sans hésitations pour passer un bon moment tout en dégustant quelques "tapas" locales. J'y retournerai avec plaisir. Merci beaucoup pour votre acceuil.
