Dream View House

Appropriately named, Dream View House is a complement to everything that draws beach-goers, surfers, and others to the energetic beauty of Praia da Arrifana. This beach cliff-side house (actually two houses next to each other by the same owner - Dream House 1 & 2) is part of a series of aligned properties overlooking the beach. The terraces take “dream view” to the beautiful extreme. It’s a viewing and lounging experience - majestic!

Stefan, the German owner of Dream View House, has taken meticulous care in renovating this former fisherman’s cottage into a modern and stylish beach house, neutral earth tones, nice interior design, and some interesting features. It feels compact and open at the same time. The kitchen is situated in a small corner area and doesn’t have a traditional oven. However, it is well-equipped, has a stove top for cooking (an extra stove-top cooking device), a brick barbecue grill on the terrace, and a microwave which I believe doubles as a mini-oven (which we only used for re-heating coffee). The highlight of the bathroom is the handmade stone-carved sink. The house has great natural lighting.

The house is nicely situated on a path only used by neighbors, other guest houses, and the surf rental shop at the end. The surf shop owner is really nice and brought us fish caught earlier that day - fire up the grill!

Even though there can sometimes be a lot of beach surfer traffic from the main road down to the beach, thankfully this view is not part of the ‘dream view’ and you don’t see it from the way the house is positioned.

Friendly group traveler alert: Dream View House 1 accommodates sleeping four people. If you are big on privacy, as in actual separate bedrooms with doors (and some people are), this may not be the location for you. The house is an open loft style with white airy curtains separating the spaces for privacy. We really liked the openness of it.

Coming from a first generation AirBnB Super Host, I recommend staying at Dream View House.

Peace & Love

It’s not everyday that you get to stay someplace with this spectacular view. Unique peaceful soulful with special access to the beach. TIP: Nobody is out at dawn patrol — surf schools start at 9am, but they get in the water around 10am. I had the waves all to myself for 2 hours!!!! That’s a VERY rare experience in the world!!!! Rent boards from Ti Raul — one doorstep away — super easy. Great beach for kids to learn surfing in the summer months. Winter months for real surfers.

The only place to stay in Arrifana. Amazing location, fantastic house with everything you need. Views to die for and cracking surf all the time.
Only downside is that the beach gets a little ‘small’ at high tide but then you just head up the hill to sit on your patio.

A place called paradise, everything was perfect, location, tranquility, best view ever, everything you need is in the house. Anyone who ever complained about this place doesn’t appreciate pure nature in my opinion. 100% super!

Magic place! Phenomenal ocean view and equipped with lots of extra’s like a free parking permit, garden hose, board storage. Every surfer’s dream! Super friendly and helpful owner.

Yes yes. One of the best places in Portugal to stay for some days. Well-named house- the view is beautiful. And the place itself is well-furnished, kitchen well-equipped.

Close to the surf in Arrifana beach, superb balcony and comfortable accomodation

Great location

Wahnsinnig schöne Aussicht, sowohl von der Terrasse als auch aus der Küche und vom Esstisch drinnen.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es gibt viel Stauraum und Haken, sodass der Platz optimal genutzt werden kann.

Stefan ist außerdem ein sehr netter Kontakt, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Un petit coin de paradis sur terre. Au bord de l’océan. Maison pleine de charme, de confort et très bien équipée. Elle surplombe l’océan et la plage : La vue est imprenable et magnifique ! Accueil et communication parfaite . Je recommande chaleureusement.

Das Haus von Stefan ist der absolute Traumplatz für alle, die den Strand von Arrifana aus nächster Nähe mit einem gigantischen Ausblick von der Terrasse aus genießen wollen. Es fehlt im Haus an nichts und für Workation ist das WLAN perfekt.

Dieser Urlaub an diesem Ort war etwas ganz Besonderes. In den ersten Tagen hätten wir die Terrasse mit ihrer phantastischen Aussicht am Liebsten gar nicht verlassen. Das ehemalige kleine Fischerhäuschen ist durchdacht und liebevoll eingerichtet. Auch wenn der Strand von Arrifana ein beliebter Platz für Surfer ist, waren wir begeistert von dem entspannten Miteinander, das hier gelebt wird. Die Mentalität der Portugiesen hat uns zusätzlich sehr beeindruckt. Genauso wie Stefan, der uns persönlich das Haus erklärte und sofort zur Stelle war, als ein kleines Problem auftrat.

Wir haben im Februar 10 Tage im Dream View House II verbracht:
Die Lage ist unschlagbar: durch die Fenster und von der wunderschönen Terrasse hat man einen fantastischen Blick über die Bucht und zum Strand sind es zwei Minuten zu Fuß.
Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und Dank der Fußbodenheizung war es auch abends und frühmorgens angenehm warm. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, wir haben nichts vermisst (auf der Terrasse gibt es auch die Möglichkeit zu grillen). Auch sonst ist wirklich alles da was man sich wünschen könnte: Waschmaschine, sehr bequeme Betten, viele Lampen um das Licht den eigenen Bedürfnissen anzupassen, ein paar spannende Bücher, wenn man die Urlaubslektüre vergessen...
Die Kommunikation mit Stefan bei Buchung und Anreise war nett und unkompliziert.

Individuell mit viel Liebe renoviertes, altes Fischerhaus in perfekter Lage. Wir waren 3 Wochen in Haus 2. Ich musste noch etwas arbeiten, was mit WLAN und Handyfunkmast in der Nähe kein Problem war. Die hohe Decke war gut um die Hitze draußen zu lassen. Alle Vorbeikommenden waren eifersüchtig auf unsere Traumterrasse mit Grillplatz. Die Aussicht ist so gigantisch, dass wir fast immer selber gekocht / gegrillt haben. Die Gastgeber Stefan und sein Freund Anmol sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir hatten einen super Urlaub.

Haben vom 16.01.2022 bis 27.03.2022 im Dream View House 2 überwintert und waren mehr als begeistert von allem. Der Ausblick ist wirklich grandios und auch das Haus selber einzigartig. Haben noch niemals so gut geschlafen wie hier. Auch ansonsten ist alles vorhanden was man so braucht. Stefan der Vermieter ist ein super netter Mensch. Immer sehr bemüht und gibt tolle Tipps. Nahe Anbindung zur nächsten Stadt, ruhige Lage, direkter Zugang zum Strand. Tolle Restaurants in der Nähe. Würden definitiv wieder hier her kommen. Sehr zu empfehlen! 😊👌🏼
