Herdade do Pessegueiro

Beautiful 2 hours trail riding with gentle horse! So stunning and amazing view from a gentle horse. Nothing is better than this. I have been riding only 2 years, but could make canter in beach. Just with little legs and helps, horse is doing good walk, trot, and galop. Staffs are all professional and even insurance is registered for 2 hours riding. Do not miss this. Absolutely beautiful.

The 1h horseride was amazing and I felt really safe. As a more experienced rider we were allowed to canter a bit on the beautiful paths..I love that the horses have a lot of space to move in their herds when they're off, they seem happy and healthy :). Amazing guide and very friendly dogs! Can 💯 recommend!

Went there for a small session of horse riding. The circuit was small but with the beach and the green areas was so so pretty. It was a great experience for the money. Recommend.

Stayed here two nights. Nice and calm apartments, terrace offers a view of the sun setting over the sea. Feels really private, there are only a few apartments.

Can only recommend to do some horse riding here as well. We went for a ride on the cliffs which was amazing (30€ per hour per person).

Absolutely amazing riding experience. The horses and other animals are very loved and well kept. Hosts are super friendly. The ride on the coast was what dreams are made of.. galloping on an empty beach, the horse's steady and eager pace.. Very safe, high standards and love for the nature and animals. Would recommend for anyone.

Myself and the gf came to Herdade do Pessegueiro for a lovely weekend at the end of May to experience mainly the Baptism on Horseback - she's an experienced rider, myself not so much, as it was my first time on a horse's back.
When we arrived we were lucky enough to meet the owner who lives on the property - Cláudia is super welcoming and very helpful.
The stay was lovely and the apartment we stayed in was decently sized to fit 2 people in the bedroom + 1 more in the sofa bed in the living area (maybe 2, as we didn't open it).
The kitchenette is well equipped with an electric stove, a coffee machine, a toaster, a kettle, a microwave, a small fridge and enough cutlery, pots and pans to prepare simple meals. There's also a couple of complimentary dolce gusto capsules and teas.
You'll find a dining table and a humble bathroom enough for all your needs.
The apartments have an amazing sea view and you get to wake up to the sound of birds and the sight of horses just going about their lives in the field just in front.
We took a small dog and it absolutely loved it!
You can walk down to the Praia da Ilha (Island's Beach) as it will only take you 15min or you can take the car as there's enough parking space.
The horseback riding was amazing - Marisa, our guide, explained all there was to know about being with and around horses, mainly what to watch out for if you don't want surprises around these magnificent animals - I took Camiros and my gf took Aras.
We got to comb the horses, brush off their dust, clean their hoofs and put on the riding gear - I feel this was super helpful vs the ride alone, as you get to know the horse and feel more comfortable around it (and the same for it). We then got on the horses, left the Herdade and strolled our way up the dunes and then down the beach. The day was incredible - sunny, clear skies, the water was crystal clear and the beach was practically empty. We then made our way back via another dirt road trail towards the herdade. All in all 2h+ of great fun. Thanks Marisa and the gentleman that also helped (apologies but I can't remember his name)!
A recommendation for the walk - wear sunscreen! We did, but some of the other people didn't and I'm pretty sure they're regretting it now.
All the staff in the Herdade was super friendly and helpful - special thanks to Sofia, the receptionist/reservations agent who endured all of my emails with endless questions and made us feel super at ease during our stay!
10/10 will defo come back!

My daughter rode for an hour yesterday around Herdade do Pessegueiro including the highlight cantering along the beach and in the surf. We were met by Ana and the ride was guided by Tomas. Everyone was so friendly and kind. The horses were great. We cannot recommend highly enough. Thankyou!

We stayed there lately for four nights and were very satisfied with everything! For a very reasonable price we had a small flat with a small kitchen and a private terrace with seaview and sunset! Everything was very, very clean though it is a horse ranch. The hosts were very hospitable and family friendly.
I also took a ride which was very nice and all the stables and stuff were also very clean!
We liked it a lot and hat wonderful relaxing days there and in the beautiful surrounding!
A very nice beach facing the Ilha do Pessegueiro is in a 7 minutes walking distance!

Herdade do Pessegueiro was an incredibly beautiful and isolated property. It is something that my wife and I will remember for a long time. Claudia, the owner, was so friendly and attentive. She even left us a small bottle of delicious Portuguese wine upon arrival. The property houses horses and a few friendly dogs. We ate dinner and breakfast at her mother’s nearby restaurant (about 2/3 km. away) before we began our hike on the Rota Vicentina. Inside our place it was clean and had everything we needed for the night. I would highly recommend a stay here. Personally, I wish I had booked two nights to explore the property and the nearby beaches.

Já estive hospedada no local por duas vezes e só tenho a dizer bem. Espero voltar em breve. Local sossegado,pessoas super simpáticas.

Experiência fantástica. Recomendo a quem gosta de cavalos. Um passeio maravilhoso na companhia de amigos e de uma excelente profissional.

Herdade bastante acolhedora, espaço bastante envolvente. Fim de semana relaxante. O passeio a cavalo foi muito agradável. Obrigada a toda a equipe da herdade pela sua simpatia e disponibilidade.

Adorei o staff, super simpáticos e atenciosos e adorei a experiência de andar a cavalo.
