Reserva Florestal Natural do Parque do Capelo

Love this place! Definitely bring a picnic lunch and make the most of it. So many neat little trails with beautiful flora & fauna... Deer, birds small animals, too... This was great! Very clean bathrooms and multiple locations for them. Several trash reception very clean grounds.

Lovely park to visit, stoped here while visiting the area to stretch our legs and our daughter enjoyed the playground and exploring. Park is very well taken care off and loved exploring the little paths through out. Also had deer you can visit.

It's a very nice, quiet and free place, where you can have your picnic (or barbeque) while your children play in the playground or watch the deers. The playground could be improved, there are just a slide and two swings. But there is plenty of picnic tables and barbeques (wood is freely provided, as well as water). There are also comfortable toilets. All sorrounded by nature.

My daughter had her birthday here this year. Lots of space in a lovely, woodsy spot, some deer, a bunch of peacocks. Happy day!

A beautiful natural park with BBQ facilities, outdoor gym for kids and adults and friendly peacocks to amuse you!

It's the best place to have a picnic in Faial. It's very cozy and full of green. I really recommend you to spend some time walking around and visit the deer 🦌👌🌲

Interesting walking through and checking out the old volcano house. Very relaxing picnic & bbq areas.

Wonderful natural park with great amenities.... BBQ grills to cook your food and a selection of secluded seating areas to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. Lovely secret trails to walk in shady glades... It's one of my favourite places here on Faial!

A truly magical place , green and full of jidden spots to sit and enjoy a picnic, toilets and washing are available and clean , there are peacocks running wild and free ,which make foe a beautiful sight .

Un lugar muy bonito , muy bien cuidado, tiene abundantes sitios para sentarse a comer de Pic NIC, aseos muy limpios con jabón y papel. Hacer una excursión por los alrededores, llevarse unos bocadillos o carne para barbacoa y comer allí, es una buena opción.

Parque situado na freguesia do Capelo, na Ilha do Faial.
Espaço organizado, fresco e muito agradável. Dispõe de todos os equipamentos para um piquenique ou passeio - grelhadores, mesas corridas em espaço coberto, WC, e parque infantil.
Com percursos pedestres assinalados, é também uma reserva de Gamos. Este parque florestal convida aos prazeres do ar livre.
A implementação dos equipamentos de apoio é feita segundo uma estética florestal muito própria e elegante, fazendo sobressair toda a abundância e diversidade de plantas endémicas da Macaronésia. Esta particularidade confere a esta zona geográfica (Arquipelago dos Açores e Madeira, Canárias e Cabo Verde) uma elevada comunidade de espécies e vegetação únicas no planeta, sendo considerada como um dos centros de biodiversidade mais importantes a nível Mundial.
Recomendo um mergulho nas piscinas do Varadouro num dia de verão, seguido de um piquenique despreocupado, neste belíssimo parque encantado! Será, com certeza, o deleite de toda a família!

O parque florestal do Capelo é um lugar mágico e espetacular, apesar de possuir uma área muito grande, são poucas as pessoas que decidem lá ir para relaxar e passar um bom bocado.
Um parque excepcionalmente bem arranjado e preservado, para além das típicas árvores e plantas que abriga, possui também, churrasqueiras, mesas, 2 parques infantis, uma vária área com mesas para piquenique, sanitários limpos e modernos, com papel e sabão sempre.

Einen solchen Platz wünsche ich mir in Deutschland. Eine riesige Anlage mit einer Vielzahl an Grillstellen an denen eine kleine Gruppe bis hin zubringen ganzen Gelage ihr Grillgut auflegen kann. Dazu gibt es noch viel mehr Tische die entweder als einzelne Plätze zwischen den Bäumen angelegt sind oder zum Teil auch überdacht in verschiedenen Hütten aus Holz und Stein. Dazu sind die Sanitären Anlagen gut gepflegt, die ganze Anlage ist sauber und es gibt ein Haus in dem das klassische Bauernhaus beschrieben ist.
