Nice levada starting from the town of Camacha near Funchal. The path is easy and comfortable and there are very nice forests around. Parts of the route go through villages and levada connects to other levadas and you can go up to Monte, the mountain above Funchal. We met only two couples, so the levada is very quiet.

To drive to beginning of the trail go to “Parque Ribeira Primeira”.

Thought Levada starts near from there, but it's actually about 2 kms up the hill and there it is. Signing could be better, sometimes we were quite lost. But the Levada is nice.

Una mica difícil de trobar, però un cop trobes la Cashina no te pérdua. L'arbre araña espectacular. Es pot arribar fins a Portela.
