Great place with beautiful terrace panorama view of Funchal and the Ocean. Food and wine was great. We ordered some local dishes which seemed to be quite unusual (like banana fish) and everything was really tasty.
Place may be crowded during peak hours as it is located right next to Monte Palace botanical garden. Quite difficult to find a spot to park a car around.

We had a really good late lunch here during our stay in Madeira. The view is great from up here. Staff was friendly and happy to assist. Food was definitely one of the best we tried. Bolo do caco was really really tasty and well cooked. Some good vegetarian options if you need. I would 100% recommend.

My family and I were here on a vacation and this cafe is absolutely beautiful! You can sit indoor and outdoor. When you sit outdoor, you have a beautiful view over Funchal.We only tried desserts but they were delicious! And it was amazing prepared! For the tea I ordered i didn’t got a small cup! I got a whole teapot! The price was cheaper than I expected for a tourist attraction! If i come here again I’ll eat there definitely again!

Top view, good drinks and really delicious food! After 6 pm (closure of cable car) you can take the bus or a bolt/taxi into the city if you came by cable car. Highly recommend this place. Don’t forget to try the garlic bread.

One of the best options if you need to eat near the tropical garden. The place has a nice view from its terrace, the waiters are polite and attentive. The service is a little bit slow ( so don't go if you have a tight schedule) justified by the amount of tables.
The portions are really big and cheap.
The crepe with banana and ice cream were delicious!
However If you can avoid taking the coffee.

Great cafe exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful views. Lovely coffee and the cakes are fab.

This place was so good I came back again on the same holiday. Right next to the cable car station in Monte, I expected it would be a tourist trap but I was completely wrong! The prices were so reasonable, and the food was exquisite and had big portion sizes. All of the staff I met were really lovely and the service was great. Particularly enjoyed the Madeira Delight cocktail! The views from the terrace really are superb too. A beautiful place to come and unwind, highly recommend it!

We ended yo here because we were too Kate for the taboggann. The waiter was lovely and helped up out with getting back to town via bus, and the food was delicious! Would highly recommend!

Fabulous food, atmosphere is phenomenal, views are amazing, prices are fair for portion sizes, flavour and aroma of the food is indicative of how fresh it is, it takes a few minutes extra but it's worth the wait, can be found either by car via the scenic route, or via the cable car, there's taxis or a bus that does travel to that area, so can be visited in many ways.

Probably the best sea fish I have ever eaten. I definitely recommend grilled Scabbard Fish with Wine and Garlic Sauce. Delicious!

Delicious food with great service.

On our first day in Madeira we happened to visit this place and we are sure glad we did. Eating here was truly an experience we were so happy that we returned three days back just to come to this restaurant. With a great selection of sea food to choose from, really mouthwatering desserts and the unbeatable views of the mountains, this restaurant is definitely a must visit. Make sure you ask for the specials which might not be in the menu. The quantity of the food is quite a lot. It is delicious, well presented, truly unique and representative of Madeiran cuisine. Nothing short of five stars.
