We stopped here after completing San Lorenzo hike, based on recommendation of a local person. From outside the place doesn't look too much appealing, but the food was one of the best we had on Madeira! Especially tuna dish! Quick service, fair prices and good portions. Recommended!

We had a lunch here today. Grilled mussels with garlic, sauteed shrimps with home made bread, 4 grilled small fishes. Draft beer, what else to say. All meals were extraordinarily tasty, fresh. Service was attentive, friendly and professional. The price for the whole lunch was more than reasonable.
Second visit on our last day. We had stewed octopus and fried scabbard fillets. Both are incredibly tasty.

To be honest is it the best restaurant in Madeira. We came every day to eat from Funchal. Octopus is amazing, food is so delicious. Not very expensive expensive .

Good food, great and fast service. Lovely little spot that is a local gem! Even the small portions will serve a great diner hahaha

If you are there don't forget to order the special bread, rusquilha, on the side, it's lovely!

Trust the reviews. Everything super tasty. Food arrives fast too. We had the grilled limpets, grilled mussels, „muralhas shrimps“ (the sauce is to die for ) and the 3 parrot fish🐠 (which is now my favorite fish ever) it can be grilled or fried- you decide!

Very welcoming Restaurant and Snack Bar which is full of locals and serves great and traditional seafood. You basically cannot get it more fresh anywhere else.
Service is fast, efficient and friendly but don't expect anything fancy. Prices are very moderate and you get great value for your money.

It was such an amazing dining experience. Thanks for the delicious food. The shrimp in red sauce is a must! Well everything else was also super delicious. The service was very kind and friendly. Also, should try passion fruit sangria, not on the menu and amazing together with the food. 5 out of 5 stars!

This was the best Bola de Caco I had in Madeira (I had one with every meal 😄). Fresh, soft and fluffy. We were there at 3 p.m. and got our order fresh and hot after 5 minutes!

The limpets were very garlicky which I personally like and the grilled squid was a huge portion.

Telling from past menus they keep raising the prices (limpets 8,50€ in May 2024) but who can blame them. They are still reasonably priced.

Perfect sea food for very good prices! Best mussels I've ever had. Sangria salad and garlic bread...for everything less than 17 euro!

The food here was Great! We did not plan on stopping here but we were driving by and they have a parking area so we stopped. Very happy with my experience here the staff was very nice and very patient with us as we discovered everything they offered on the menu. I had the seared tuna which I would highly recommend! They also had really good poncha. I hope to return to Madeira next year and make another visit here.

Great restaurant if you want to try local seafood dishes. We had the tuna in onion sauce and tuna in vinegar, both delicious, fresh, quickly prepared. Portions were larger than two people can really eat and for a great price as well. I highly recommend.

Nice place, good service and huge portions!!! Really be carefull with portion sizes 😁 If you are really hungry, start with one dish without starter.
Edit: Came back here next day from Funchal, because last experience was great, so did this one. Shrimps for starter and their traditional bread with butter and garlic were so great, that I would come here only for this dish. Big thanks to kitchen and waiters 🙂

Very nice place to eat after hiking PR8 Vereda da Ponta de Sao Lourenco. The portions are big, so be carefull with the order 😁 The food and price are good, so we have visited this place twice. Thank you!

We had the Lampas, bolo do caco, the dry tuna, backed tuna with French fries and shrimps. Everything was really really nice (we ate way too much),
Wish we could have tried everything on the menu in one lunch! Incredible quality/price.

Fantasticly tasty and fresh sea food, non touristic restaurant. Highly recommended.
