The owner and staff were very polite and friendly.
The breakfast was splendid. I count 11 fresh fruit or berry and I'm not sure was that all, not to mention the cheese selection.
The combined reception and breakfast room was so cosy and heart of the house, that I'd like something similar at home also. Common spaces in every floor were something special. We really liked the style and how the whole building was renovated.
We warmly recommend Guestmar and will request our friends stay there visiting Olhão and surroundings!

Beautiful hotel/bed and breakfast, the owner is very friendly and attentive to detail as well as the rest of the staff. Delicious breakfast, very clean elegant rooms and amazing rooftop terrace. Truly a little hidden gem!

Very helpful and nice staff. Location is perfect. To go Faro just use Uber since public transportation is very time consuming and can have delays.

I shouldn't spoil it for us by telling others this is a fabulous place, outstanding location, gorgeous rooms, awesome breakfast and kitchen to use and the most friendly pleasant professional staff I ever had the pleasure of being hosted by. Go if you want to be in an amazing place, but leave a room for us!
Oh and the comments about the car thing, well yes you are in the historic district where driving is a challenge on narrow winding roads and parking is never easy but what does that have to do with the guest house?

Had a very great time. The service is out of this world, you get a breakfast that's better than in some of the best hotels. The owner is just an amazing guy and can give you a lot of Tipps. He also shares some background information about the history of the area. Would come back any time!

Amazing host! We got all the info needed to spend an amazing trip in Olhao. The room was clean and the airco worked perfectly well. The breakfast is also very nice with lots of variety 😍

A very nice cosy place hidden away in the older part of Olhao. The house has been resurrected from a decaying building to what it is today. It is tastefully renovated. The owner and staff are all extremely pleasant and always there to help. The rooms are tidy. Though small, the thoughtful interiors and placement of furniture makes it a nice stay. There are cosy nooks and a terrace that is common area. The breakfast area is well stocked with tea, coffee and delicious cookies. If I came back, I would certainly stay here.

The host and owner could not have been friendlier and more welcoming, despite the fact that we booked last minute for the same night. He gave us many good tips and knew his way around Olhão and the area perfectly.
The house is airy, very clean, comfortable and charming. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and equipped with everything a traveler needs and wishes for.
Breakfast was ample and fresh. Our experience was great and we hope to be back soon.

A place to go to and come back again and again. Very friendly people, great advice for what to do in the area and authentic restaurants to visit. Great roof top terrace with a beautiful view over the old city. The cosy rooms are decorated in Fishermen style.

Beautifully renovated place in a magical and peaceful location. Great and warm host, you will feel like home. Everything is clean and welcoming, you can see the utmost care and heart the staff puts into this place to keep it alive. And it works wonders. Definitely will be back, and hopefully soon! 100% recommend!
