Great seacoast, line for bicycles and a lot of runners. A lot of rocks so you cannot swim there :)
But great view

Nice beach of Gaia. There is a bikeway that goes all south and passess al along the beach. Nice rock formations and plenty of bars and restaurants.

Not that good if you want to sunbathe / go for a swim but the scenic view is wonderful. If you are into maritime biology the rocks on the beach will provide several clusters of barnacles, limpets and mussels to observe.

The most suitable beach for swimming in Gaia , especially by the Cabelo do Douro area, suitable for windsurfing, has a bus station , cafeteria and restaurant beside it, also the scene of rocks is very beautiful.

This beach takes me back 50 years when I was a kid. We would spend all day in the beach during the all three big months of summer holidays. The sun is clear and warm and though the water is cold it is so beautiful and good for those who want to swim or practice bodyboard, surf or just have a fantastic day in a boat.
