Here is the idea how to burn calories while in Porto and not able to resist its lovely culinary tempations 😄 Joke aside, Arrabida bridge climb is something we'll always remember! We did a night climb and our guide Alex made sure that the experience is followed by interesting stories related to the past bridge climbs or Porto and its surrounding area.

Amazing experience especially during sunset! Stunning view of Porto and João (hope I spell your name correctly) was a fantastic guide who made sure all safety measurements were met and told us all cool facts about the bridge and history of Porto!
Highly recommend!

A very nice experience! Would recommend if you want a special view 65m above the river level. If you are afraid of heights then definitely skip it. The team was really friendly, always smiling and professional.

Super friendly staff and great views.

The ticket is around 17€, and is something you don't get to do every day. I'd say to give it a shot if you're in the area.

Also, they will email you the pictures of your visit at no extra cost.

The bridge is huge, and even though it is a lot of stairs, they won't rush you, or they will put you at the back of the group.

Unless you are really out of shape, I think anyone can get up the bride since they mention even people that are retired and 60+ years old make the climb upstairs.

Wonderful experience. The views from the bridge help justify the rather steep steps (only at the start though!). I have enjoy Porto but this has been the highlight.

Great guide and a nice bonus when you reach the top (I won't spoll the surprise). Absolute bargain when compared with other bridge climbs in the world. Do the climb as late in the day as you can for the best photos (there are also night climbs which would be fun).

Recommended.

It was a great industrial experience with perfect guiding. Not very challenging, but it will be the place which you definitely remember. All these stories about teens and illegal climbing were interesting, as well as an opportunity to ask any questions about the place and the whole city to the guide.

Don't leave Porto without climbing to the top of the arch.
You better check-in before, there are guided tours starting in each 45 minutes.
The panorama from the top of the arch in unique. It could be windly, but the safety is 200%.
And great stories about the history of all bridges from the city. If you are attracted to history, this is a must.

Wonderful experience climbing the Arrabida bridge with a great guide. If the weather is not foggy you will get lovely views of River Douro. It comes with all safety precautions like harness and hence highly recommended if you are in Porto :)

The #portobridgeclimb is a great activity, if it rains (which it did) you stay mostly dry, if it’s hot and sunny (which it was) you can enjoy the breeze from the river and Atlantic coastline.
The view from the top of the arc is great and our climbing guide was friendly, knowledgeable did not rush us at all.
Safety is taken seriously so you will have to wear a harness & line. The first few steps are steep work, but as the arc shallows it become easier.
The Tram stops beneath the bridge so this could be a good excuse to take a historic tram ride too!

We had a wonderful experience climbing the arch of Arrábida bridge with our guide, Inez. We went during the 730pm session and were fortunate enough to capture a lovely sunset view of Porto. Our guide pointed out notable landmarks from our vantage point, shared the history and significance of the bridge, and offered us some port wine and chocolate during our stay at the top of the arch.

Great experience! A must do for people visiting Porto, recommend to do this earlier in your visit to have the useful visual landmarks.

A fun activity walking up the arch of the bridge.

You walk up steps to an equivalent height of 18 stories. The stories are marked in yellow on the steps. You wear a harness which is connected to a handrail. You walk up and back down the Porto side of the bridge rather than going from one side to the other.

The activity lasted about 45 mins, but that was for a group of three. Perhaps could take longer with bigger groups getting set up in harnesses etc.

We paid €17.50 each which seemed reasonable.

A MUST DO! One of the best things to enjoy while visiting Porto, Portugal. The view is amazing and the guides are the BEST! When you reach the top the guides answer all your questions for tips on what to do in Porto. They give account about the history of the bridge and all the things related to it.

A lot of fun. Don’t worry about heights issues, it is literally almost like walking over a bridge the platform you walk on is so wide. Cool views, good staff, fairly priced.
