A Capoeira

The place is cozy, the staff is wonderfull and very kind. I was with my wife for dinner and food is delicious. 5 stars deserved.

My wife and I ate at A Capoeira, for lunch, after another restaurant we went to was closed. What a happy accident! We were the only tourists in the place, but were treated extremely well. Unfortunately, I don't recall what we ate. Overall, it was a GREAT expericence.

What a wonderful place! I thoroughly enjoyed superb meals, house wine and dessert. It is great to be cozy restaurant and incredibly kind and friendly services. Please do not miss here.

This restaurant was an amazing experience!!!
I came here on a friend’s recommendation, and another friend was also there so just because of that was a place for me to go.
We had the grilled chouriço as starter as well as a croquete.
We also had grilled cod fish and the octopus rice with octopus fillets.
The waiter was kind enough to ask us if we wanted to split the food and as we did, he brought us first the rice with the octopus and then the codfish. Everything was amazing the octopus was unbelievable.
We had the great house’s white green wine!

We also had Natas do céu for desert. They were not great.

The best seafood we had in Porto by a mile. This place is a hidden gem, the food is unbelievable, the staff are wonderful and decor charming. I couldn’t recommend enough!

A great find! Felt really authentic. Staff were great. We had padron peppers, croquettes, grilled squid and the liver and all were 10/10, would recommend all of them! We shared the “sponge cake” for dessert which was nothing like a sponge cake - more like a custard cake - again 10/10! This place is definitely not to be missed.

Authentic litte restaurant with great fish. The food is more simple but very good and in a traditional Portuguese style. The service was amazing, too. We would definitely recommend going there if you want to taste authentic food and it’s not expensive.

Food was amazing. Large portions and very flavourful. My friend and I had to leave early and the staff was so kind in accommodating us. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this area!

The best food in 4 days. I ordered the hake and my girlfriend the turkey. Both tastes amazing. My girlfriend asked to remove the mushroom of her dish and was not a big deal for the restaurant.

The restaurant is small (around 40 seats) and thight and the entrance a little hard to find, unfortunately. Inside is a nice ambiente, very home feeling with good variete of food. Personal speaks good english and we had our food in 10 min.

Its not really a child friendly restaurant but the waiters were lovely with my 3 year old daughter.

Very friendly folks and delicious food. It's a small place, make sure to make a reservation! There are a few things that might be beneficial to know: the food I was served in the beginning wasn't all. Once I had almost cleared my plate, one of the waiters came over and wanted to add some more mains and sides. When I declined and said that I was already stuffed they offered the second part of the serving for takeaway. Which I think is a great idea, because the food on the plate doesn't get cold that quickly.

The people here are very kind and the food is tasteful. On top of that it is in a nice small building beautifully decorated with traditional looking tiles. The food served looks traditional Portugese too and has a good price. Overall we had a good experience here.
