The waiter really helped us with his good advice (dish and wine), he was really nice + He spoke French with us 😊 The food was rich and delicious. If I ever come back to Porto, I'll go back to this restaurant without hesitation. (Le riz aux gambas était top!)

Lovely and unpretentious restaurant with very good quality food. We went for new year's eve and they accommodate us without a booking. There was a lively family atmosphere in the restaurant. The monk fish rice has as much sea food as rice. Very good prices and generous portions. Great location too!

A GEM in Porto
When you visit Porto you must eat at the Estrela do Oriente. The fish was sensational and seafood too, combined with potatoes and the delicious sauce. I just could not stop eating it all.
The owners are super friendly and helpful.
Don’t let this restaurant slip through your fingers

I had amazing french fries, duck rice(arroz de pato) and coke just for 10euros. The portion was huge compared to its reasonable price, the staffs were kind and lovely. Hope I could visit there once more!! Strongly recommend this restaurant!!

We were looking for tripas al moda for several days and this is the place where we’ve finally tried it. It was very good and so was the service. The restaurant is nice and clean. Sangria was made with berries which we enjoyed. Definitely recommend!

This father and son operation was exactly what we were looking for when visiting Porto: Authentic, traditional food served with love. I’m not sure what was better; the food or the service. We had great wine, sardines, francesinha, fisherman’s stew, monkfish with prawns and sampled 6 of their homemade desserts. Just perfect.

This is the place to try the tripas! Really good. And PUMPKIN with almond pie is good too

Food is top service is great food is quick and amazing I had the grilled octopus and it was MAGNIFICIENT the staff was very nice, english is spoken to a level of just saying what you want atmosphere is calm not loud and it's a top restaurant in my opinion
