Cato is the place to stay at Carrapateira!
The guesthouse is cute and small, offering comfy rooms with balconies. At night you can hear the waves from the nearby beach.
The staff is absolutely incredible and helpful. Every morning I was greeted with a big smile and delicious hand made breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Don’t miss out the homemade brownies 😋
Also, a cool reggae party was taking place on Friday night 😎

I had a very relaxing stay at Cato Guesthouse. The staff are welcoming, friendly and had some great tips for the area.

The location is beautiful and, being in a small village, it's quiet and peaceful.

Great guest house in a lovely remote spot. Breakfast buffets are nice and the rooms are perfect for families with two adjoining with a shared bathroom.

Beach, town and supermarket all within walking distance and some lovely treks over the headlands are to be had

We had a wonderful stay with absolutely amazing breakfast! In fact all meals are great- the vegetables coming from their own garden just behind the hotel and all prepared perfectly!
And you absolutely have to try the sangria!

Best place in the Algarve to spend some time feeling like home. Walter and Tana are absolutely amazing, we stayed for 3 weeks in one of their caravans and they made our stay absolutely unforgettable. Great place, awesome vibes and their warmth is something we will remember forever. We will come back very soon!

Staff is cool and lovely.
While the interior is cosy and comfortable, the outside area is perfect for a sunny afternoon and warm evening.

10/10 would recommend - this is what I would like my hypothetical farm to be like

Very friendly host and staff. Very Cosy atmosphere. Close to the beach. Very good price. I did the fishermen's trail. This was the best accommodation on my way.

Lovely Place with incredible Food! During our holiday in Carrapateira we initially stopped for a small diner and were completely amazed by the great food (especially the tapas are highly recommendable!) and the very friendly and welcoming team which made us come back very often. While the menu is still rather small as the owner changed quite recently, the quality of the food easily makes up for a few options missing.

We have had a wonderful stay at Cato! We were very welcomed by the staff & they were very kind to us. It is in a beautiful location where they grow a lot of there own food, they have chickens as well! A breakfast was included in the morning & it was super delicious with a variety of options! Thanks very much 😊

We slept one night in one of the private rooms. Adorable house, great feeling of being away from everything, beautiful room decorated with taste, very clean, close to the beach, and the breakfast was super. We really enjoyed our time there. Did not try the restaurant

Such good and cozy place. We tried the homemade burger, mixta toast and omelette and the ingredients were all natural and great. Owner is really friendly also. Will definitely come back

The restaurant serves most of the food out of their own organic garden. The cook is really passionate and one of the most sympathetic guys I've ever met. Honest meals made with love according to this everything we tried was excellent! We felt at home at the B&B it was enjoyable!

Casa Da Horta offers weary travelers a home away from home while on the road in southern Portugal. Just a 10 minute walk from an epic surfing beach with spectacular sunset views every night.

The hosts truly care for their guests with their heart and soul, with amazing food and warmth. The terrace comes alive with easy opportunities to mix and mingle with your fellow guests. Fresh squeezed juice in the morning and spotless room show how much they care. For chill relaxing, you have options like the rooftop terrace or the riverside platform out back on the river behind the farm.

Would definitely recommend to friends for rest and relaxation. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Cosy B&B with super nice staff. Really didn't expect such good food. One of the best veggie burger I've ever had! Most of the food comes from their own garden and everything was really tasty.
We rounded up our Portugal trip in Carrapartiera after a view days in Lissabon. The quiet neighborhood with the beautiful beaches were perfect to calm down and relax before traveling back home.

Very nice people working here. I accidentally forgot my ID when renting a surfboard, and they did me the favor of sending it to my girlfriends house in Brussels. Food is very good, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere.

Hands down the best food we’ve had in Carrapateira. Such a unique healthy menu with lots of fresh veggies from their garden. Great atmosphere and staff to top it off.

Great team. Finally something freshingly new! Different food - organic. Easy going people and a nice atmosphere. Simple but clean rooms. You should give it a try and also check the "hidden" beach.

Fantastic place right next to Bordeira beach, Surfer's vibe, very friendly staff, great food and lots of nice events. They do have a Bed&Breakfast as well. Loved it! Definitely recommend it!!

In a beautiful part of the Algarve in Portugal there is a jewel and it has a name: Cato!
Everything on the menu is fresh, even the lemonades. I had the burrito and some drinks while in the background there was good live music.

Definitely coming back here!!
