I had a great time in Amado surfcamp!! Very clean and very nice funny surfteachers. I would recommend to go there! It's so beautiful and a very quiet place to stay and surf. I would definitely come again 🩵🌊

Best staff, providing all the info needed for your surfing session/trip. Incredible, patient, professional teachers who will guide you through step by step according to your level.
There is a wide variety of surfboards for rental, and they are kept in good condition.

I had a wonderful experience staying at the camp and taking lessons from the school. I can't wait to come back!

The Instructors: I found all the instructors I learned from to be very friendly and inviting people. They constantly gave good feedback in class, asked how your surf was that day, or answered questions/gave tips, even outside of class.

Camp Staff: The camp staff was also very friendly and helpful. They did a great job of keeping the camp clean, and cooked an amazing breakfast for the guests every morning. Thursday's Burger Night was also a wonderfully delicious experience at an affordable price.

We came as a group of friends and stayed in the camp for one week and took surfing lessons every day over here.
Since most of us haven't been surfing before, we all started in Level 1, but got promoted sooner oder later.
All of us had a great experience and learned a lot over the time. Naturally, not all of us connected with the different instructors equally good, some are in my opinion more friendly or motivating than others, but in general all of the instructors are nice!
The different levels are starting at different times, which is nice so you are not in the waves all at once, but as a group in different levels you don't spend the breaks together.
Even though surfing is not my Nr.1 favorite sport, I would definitely come back any time♥

Wonderful experience! I come every year for 5 years in a row with my wife and son (now aged 16). The scenery is one of the best in Algarve with romantic sunsets to enjoy with my wife with all the confort of a beach bar or on very fine grain white sand dunes 😍. This school is very well organized (Joao, Henrique) and cares for the right rate instructors/surfers at each level. Diogo, Peter, Dean, Andrea and Miriam and some others (sorry for not remembering all) are tireless coaches with a sharp eye on everyone’s progress. My niece (age 10) joined a kids class and had the fun of her life while I sat comfortably watching her and feeling relaxed as there were 2 instructors caring for their safety. Perfect for a family with several children!
The prices are fair and very competitive when compared with other places. There are several places to lunch or snack at reasonable prices and good quality.
Another advantage is the integrated accommodations at the surf camp with options for everyone (tents, bungalows, wood house) or city apartments nearby, all with a more than generous breakfast and transport to the beach included. Night parties for those that “carpe noctem” 😂

We tried surfing for the First Time with Amado surf school and our experience was Amazing. The team was competent and funny, we had a really good day.

I rented a board at Amado beach in May 2018. The people were very friendly and informative about the conditions of the spot.
When I returned home I found out that I forgot my wetsuit and boardshorts at the surfschool. Without any problems they shipped it to my house in the Netherlands. Awesome service from the girls and guys of Algarve surfcamp Amado beach!

Surfboard rentals on the beach. TIP: If you are looking for a hard top longboard — keep walking. The rental place next door has a 9”0’ hard tip from Hawaii to rent!
