Wonderful place with spectacular views of the bay. The chapel was restored three years ago. It is recommended to take a walk to the chapel in the afternoon

Probably the most Beautiful place in the area.... A 17 century restored chapel with a magnificent view of the sea shell shaped bay of São Martinho and a absolutely wonderful view of the ocean.

A must see! If you enjoy walking, the trail from São Martinho do Porto is not difficult at all. Enjoy exploring! Beautiful view!

Chapel is permanently closed but you can see through the windows using your phone (pro tip)

It is possible to drive up to within a 6 minutes walk of the chapel. But don’t follow Google’s directions. It led me to a dirt bike trail near the sand dunes that was too narrow for my car. Instead, follow the road signs for “miradouro”, then follow wooden signs for “Capela de Santa Ana”

A lovely walk for those that aren't afraid of exercise, especially up the sand dunes adjacent to the car park. I would highly recommend wearing comfortable footwear as there is a lot of uneven ground and slate/rock on the pathway.
Fantastic view out to sea and of the bay and Sao Martinho town. I would highly recommend.

A must go place if you are visiting the region. You can go there by car within 6/7 minutes followed by a walk of 3 mins.

Great place for viewing the Bay in it's entirety. Bit of a challenging walk but, if you're not up to it you can drive most of the way. Finding the access is a little bit of a challenge though.

It was one of the wonderful view I had in caldas da rainha. I was there with the preist who renovated that chapel,Joseph Samuel pulikal.
He explained the hardhsips of the renovation process. Be also explained the stories behind the numerous windtoys on the way to chapel. If you want to be lonely reader watching the great atlantic and the hushy voice of temperate winds, here is the place. I was really surprised because of the stunning view. Mr Samuel Joseph Pulikal, you did a great job. Some of the interior things are even 800 years old.

Super view of the ocan. You can only go by car so far, then there is a barier and you have to walk a few more hundred meters. Not a difficult walk. The chappel itself is simple, small, but pleasing.

This place is well worth the walk; it takes over 40 minutes to walk here from Sao Martinho do Porto. Interesting ruins with sweeping views over the Atlantic.

Funny that people rate a building to be awesome but put a 4 or 3 stars... Its a ruin for fs sake. Don't like it don't go don't rate it.

But by the written reviews I can tell the sort of "Portuguese" that is written on these bad ratings.

Can't expect much from uneducated people,... Not there fault...

Recently sympathetically restored, it’s a wonderful place to visit with stunning views. On a hot day the chapel porch is a real cooling relief.

First, a beautiful small Chapel. Then, probably one of the best spots to Admire São Martinho and the Sea...truly a miracle...
