We were in Porto for a few days living near this restaurant. We stopped to eat lunch on one of the days and had to come back as we ate the most unique Portuguese traditional soup. The food was delicious. The meat and shrimp patties were to die for. Absolutely love this restaurant.

I went back to Capa Negra II during this 2nd visit to Porto and still found it amazing. Their "francesinhas" are absolutely delicious, my family's chicken salad and beef was also very tasty. Dessert was yummy too. We had a great visit. The only thing that we did not appreciate was that even though we had a late lunch and they wanted to close, mind you we were not the only ones in the restaurant, someone went and turned off the TV's near us and would stand behind looking at us all as though to hurry us off. I fully understand the hours but if you have paying clients that are almost done it wouldn't hurt to wait a bit. It's called Respect. Overall service and food was great.. will go back.

This Portuguese restaurant is probably the best one in the town. They have really great service and friendly staff, however, none of them speak English. So, try to practice your Portuguese or use a translator if you can't speak the local
Language.
The food was worth the price!!!!! Try their Franceshinha and the desert! 💕☺ we had two dinner meals with a big portion (but it was normal for them), two fancy beers and one jar of Sangria cost us 44 euros. We were too full for dessert, unfortunately :(
This restaurant has so many customers, please avoid coming in the peak hours or you should wait to be seated.
I love the atmosphere in the restaurants. They also have a bar 🍻
Hope you enjoy the restaurant as much as I did 😊

One of, if not the best francesinha I have ever had. The sauce is quality. The taste is superior and the overall experience was a delight. A definite must try if you're ever in the area!

The place offers a variety of Portuguese and south European food. Everything is made to the highest standard and the service is professionally impressive. This was the first restaurant that we ate at since we came to Portugal and it definitely made a great impression about the people and their lovely country. Obrigado!

I have tried francesinha and draft beer. Great choice for both. I will come back for sure.
One thing to have in mind is to reserve a table for lunch in advance.

This was the first time in Portugal and our first meal in Porto, food was great, service was outstanding, server went out of the way to make sure we had everything we wanted, even the manager can out to ensure we had everything we wanted. I have traveled the world with my job and this was a great end to a long trip from Canada to Portugal.

Again thank you to the staff and server for starting our vacation in the best possible was

P.S. The steak and chips were great, the Francesinha was a first for me and outstanding, the Sangria hit the spot and the atmosphere was the best way for Portugal to welcome us to their beautiful country

Thank You

It was my first Francesinha and what a place to have it! It was absolutely amazing!

It’s a bit outside of the more downtowny Porto area so it seemed much more local which was very nice!

It had very diner vibes which was interesting and unique!

Great place!
The waiter was amazing! Very polite and competent!
I ordered a Francesinha which was great!!
The Meio Queijo wine was great and only 9 euros!
Excellent cost-benefit!
I accidentally dropped my glass of wine in the food and the waiter immediately changed the plate and food!
I had a great experience!
Strongly recommend!

It was a saturday night and the restaurant was full of people, but we waited just half an hour to be seated.
The soups were delicious and the francesinha was good. The waiters were very kind.

Good rissole and one of my favourite francesinha, a bit lighter than other versions around the city.
The service is really nice and friendly here, and you can always expect a fresh beer coming quickly.

Excellent food and service! I had the steak, medium, with an egg on top, french fries, white rice and a spinach, garlic puree. It was amazing!

Great food and great service - the restaurant is very clean and more reminiscent of a functional canteen. Not a cosy dinning place but hey… food is good perfect prices are ok - not cheap!

Traditional Portuguese restaurant. We had the beef (costeleta) and it was huge:) about 1.2 kg. Couldn’t finish it and took half of the portion home. It’s for 3 people at least. Goes with fried potatoes, rice and some green thigh (I think it’s spinach and mushed potatoes). Quality is great. 4 glasses of beer, bread and butter, main dish and 2 espresso - 45 eur. Recommended:)

Unbelievable. Incredible taste, great service. Get rissois as a starter, and follow their recommendations for the mains of the day. Forget francesinha, as that's almost the same in any reputable restaurant, try their dishes and you'll be amazed.

Relaxed and most enjoyable. Various eating options on offer. This evening we enjoyed coffee and a delicious ice cream and ordered a take-away chicken soup that we enjoyed later at home. On other occasions we've enjoyed a full dinner with wine. The range and flexibility of Capa Negra II's menus is a real strength.
