The lake is located a bit higher (~250m) than Morskie Oko, definitely worth the quite steep hike (~30min), that's mostly rock stairs with couple of tough spots.

Beautiful place with less people than Morskie Oko. You can sit on a rock and try to spot the people on the mountain wall behind the lake - that hike leads to Rysami, and is not for beginners.

A wonderful lake surrounded by high peaks. You get a chance to witness the winter snow melt down into the river. The view of the valley and the big lake it's breathtaking !

Exceptional place, lake itself looks amazing, but also you can see whole Morskie Oko view from above
A route here is basically a ladder from rocks, well kept, but ascending a can be challenging.

If you are by the Morskie Oko, take your time and hike a bit and see this upper lake Czarny Staw
It’s worth to see and visit 😊

The best place for the tourist who would like to do trekking for the whole day and see the beautiful location with lake above the mountain. Lots of fun

Beautiful place. Visited it in April. There is still snowy there. If you plan to go there in the winter, I strongly suggest using anti sliding tools.

3.5hr of walk from the bus stop, totally worth the effort, breathtaking views of both Czarny Staw and Morskie oko. Poor horses :(

Breathtaking view over Morskie Oko. View facing Czarny Staw is also great with most of the pond still covered in ice on May 23rd. Less crowded than Morskie Oko because it requires a fair climb. When there are patches of snow it's definitely recommended to have shoes with good traction, it can get very slippery. Route from Morskie Oko will take around 50 mins if you walk quickly

The most astonishing view on the Sea Eye lake beneath! If you managed to get to the Sea Eye Lake, you should definitely make one last effort and climb here. It's not easy, but totally worth it!

Amazing view! Its definitely worth to overcoming the thorny path. It is better to be shod in special hiking shoes since the road is stony

It’s not easy to hike to the second lake, but it is doable. It felt good to climb up and feel the cool water.

Mesmerizing place! I recommend visiting this area during the month of Late October-November, very quiet and not crowded. This pond is not the easiest to reach, but far from being the most difficult. pictures aren’t the best with mobile phones because the area is surrounded with mountains and the sun doesn’t hit directly. Still, a MUST!

The first snow in the Polish Tatras. Incredible views, as if somewhere on another planet. When there is snow, I recommend climbing only with the use of equipment, an unprepared climb can be fraught with injuries.

Stunning views, worth every second of the hike. Make sure you go all the way to the second lake.

Beautiful place, nice stopover on the way to Rysy. Not so crowded as Morskie Oko and lovely view on Morskie Oko and Tatra mountains around.

Takes about 1 hour from lower lake to come, still 3-4 hours to the RYS mountain top.

Beautiful place in the mountains of Poland. Unbelievable spot at the waterfall.
Sadly quite touristic and crowded at the lower lake.
