I could not get enough information on the place. Was it an older castle or a follie for the amusement if the Kdiaz castle dwellers? Anyway it is worth the hike and it is very photogenic :-)

Nice place to visit. Not really because of the place, but because of the road to it. Peculiar if pace from the main building of Książ and go out from paved road on the right.

Take a breathtaking forest path from Ksiaz Castle to reach Stary Ksiaz. A must-see for everybody

Dla turysty, który usiłuje dotrzeć do ruin od strony Wałbrzycha, przez las to dosyć uciążliwa trasa. Głównie z powodu braku oznaczeń. Same zaś ruiny są niezwykle malowniczym acz zaniedbanym miejscem. Hochbergowie wybudowali tu na fundamentach średniowiecznego zameczku tzw. sztuczne ruiny. Urokliwe to miejsce można sobie jednak tylko pooglądać na starych widokówkach. Obecny właściciel Starego Książa, Zamek Książ jak się wydaje nie bardzo chce się opiekować swym starszym bratem.
