The self-paced tour through the castle was incredible! And we went while they had Christmas decorations, so it was even more beautiful. Recommend the underground tour as well - it was interesting and moving.

I enjoyed this place a lot. Very good destination to spend your weekend. Picturesque hiking routes of different difficulty level, underground tunnels of the third reich. I didn't enjoyed a lot the castle interiors, but from the outside it's probably the most beautiful castle I've ever seen. At the moment they have a very interesting photo exebition of the last chef. And nice cafe inside the castle (unfortunately you can visit it only when you are visiting the castle interiors, when we wanted to have a coffee there the next day after excursion, we were told that we should by ticket to the castle)

A self-paced tour of the castle was amazing! I was lucky to visit right before the Christmas decorations were going to be taken down, so it was twice the awe and pleasure.

Everything is so nicely organised, with the cheerful staff meeting you at the ticket desk, and then - second surpise with the Polish museums on this trip - a cloakroom employee kindly offering me a Ukrainian audio guide. Great thanks to the Castle team!

The exhibitions are a wonderful combination of the family history of the castle owners, of the Polish and world history impacting Ksiąz and its residents, and some terrific works of art.

It is also very efficient to have a "smaller tour" and a "broader tour with the family stories", so that you can choose what to listen to, also in terms of time available.
I listen to everything and loved it.

I learned a lot about the underground of Ksiąz and visited the Palm Garden 5-min drive away from the Castle (included in the ticket), with a huge collection of plants.

It was one of the interesting and beautiful castle 🏰 in Poland 🇵🇱. Also it has a rich history. Everyone from all over the word should see it. Great food at the restaurant there on site by the entrance .

Beautiful big castle. You can use audio guide which is awesome and you don't have to go with big group. There is also photos exhibition. The inside of the castle looks more modern then usuall, furniture is from the beginning of the 20th century etc. so I could imagine the life here.
I recommend to visit underground with ww2 interesting history, too.
We were there on Saturday and it wasn't crowded so much.

Did both the castle and the underground tour. As non-Polish speakers, we're very impressed by the audioguide. Works seamlessly as you walk through the castle and exhibition. Very much intrigued by the family history and a lot of information is provided. We spent hours, so make sure to have enough time if you want to visit other sights as well. Also with the underground tour, we didn't feel left out with the audioguide. All in all a very fun, informative day. Definitely worth a visit!

The price of the ticket is worth paying. Huge area to see. They gave an audio guide that automatically switches while you changing different halls. The audio guide is available in a few foreign languages. Parking is overpriced: next to Castle the price is 30 pln, further - 20 pln. And when you enter the castle there is a toilet with an entrance fee - 5 pln, which in my humble opinion should be included in the price of the ticket. Overall it is a great place to spend a day with a family or loved ones.

Książ Castle is the largest castle in the region of Silesia, and the third-largest in Poland behind Malbork Castle and Wawel Castle. In my opinion, it is a must-visit destination. Unfortunately, the interiors were destroyed by the Nazis during the WWII but parts of it were restored and available as part of the museum.

We just visited the castle from outside as we didn't have enough time to go for a tour. There's an individual or combined ticket for castle, palm house and the undergrounds. Car parking is not free after the security guard, unless you're visiting the castle hotel. You can park it in the open parking space before the security guard for free. There is an ice cream shop near the castle which is a necessity in hot summers. Not sure if there's any restaurant though. There's a small vertical sprinkler through which you can go to refresh yourself in hot weather. You can visit Viewpoint too, which is a small walk type trek for 15 minutes. There's a fresh corn stick seller, each for 8 PLN. You can bring park stuff (mats, food, play items etc) also for relaxation. There are a lot of gardens and you can sit anywhere. The place is definitely worth a day trip.

Ksiaz Castle in Poland is an awe-inspiring gem! The castle's rich history, stunning architecture, and breathtaking views make it an unforgettable experience. With over 400 rooms and a sprawling 316 hectares of grounds, Ksiaz Castle is a true marvel. Its grandeur and charm captivate visitors, while the surrounding landscape adds to the enchantment. A must-visit destination!

We toured Ksiaz Castle (Zamek Ksiaz), the underground tunnels of Project Riese, and the Palm House (Palmiarnia) in mid-October, a very enjoyable day, and well worth the trip. We did experience two suboptimal staff experiences. At the ticket window, the staff person didn’t understand that we wanted two tickets, necessitating two separate transactions.
After finishing the tunnel tour, when we went to pick up the audio guide to enter and tour the castle, the staff person was rude, initially unintelligibly rejecting our tickets, which we had to point out were valid for the castle. As for getting to the castle from Wroclaw, because we preferred to travel on our own, at our own pace, we chose to take public transportation. Because our arrival time would not be precise, and underground tours are entry timed, we decided to purchase our tickets upon arrival, finding availability and no line. We did the underground tunnel tour first, as it began within a few minutes. While the Polish speaking tour guide led the group, audio guides were provided in many languages, triggered automatically along the route. We then did the independent castle tour using an English audio guide. From there, we had a nice walk down to the Palm House, which was included with the admission ticket. As an example of how to get to Ksiaz by public transportation, I will summarize our route, with other suggestions. We took the train from Wroclaw Glowny to Walbrzych Miasto, which is the first of two possible train stops in Walbrzych. After a reasonably short wait across the street, we were able to get on bus 8, making sure the final stop was Jezdziecka- Zamek Ksiaz. I suggest checking the bus schedule in real time, to estimate the wait time, for possible alternative consideration. At the castle, there is a choice of two stops. We got off at the first one (Piastow Slaskich) by the stables, which is a slightly longer walk on a smooth surface with a gentle rise. An easier, fast alternative would be to take a taxi from the Walbrzych Miasto train station to the castle. There were taxis waiting there, even mid-morning on a Tuesday in mid-October. Our return trip was much easier, since we went to the Palm House last. From nearby, buses 8 and 12 go to the Walbrzych Miasto train station. An alternate return option from the Palm House would be to take bus 9 or 12 to the other Walbrzych Szczawienko train station. The castle website has a map showing the local transportation and walking options.

A place with a lot of history. It is easy to learn about it because there you can get an electronic interactive guide in English. Drinking a beer or a coffee feels special in there

This is a beautiful castle with a lot of history. When you go in and purchase the ticket they give you several options one with the tour of the Underground included and I would recommend going that route as the tour underground is also very good. They will give you an audio guide that will walk you through the whole castle and give you the history and events that transpired through the years. The tour takes about the proximately 2 hours to complete with the audio guide and I like the way they set up their audio guide as you can skip ahead to something that interests you a little bit more which is a nice touch. The audio guide is location based. There is so much to see here and what I especially liked was the turn of the century pictures of everyday life. Some of the places in have amazing views of the surrounding Countryside and of the Immaculate Gardens. The gardens around the castle are just beautiful unfortunately the day I was there it was raining.

Castle Ksiaz... there are a lot of things which I can write here about this castle. But surely it is just impossible to tell all interesting things about this castle here.... it is much better to open Wiki or other sources and read, there is a lot of interesting information including medieval history, Hitler's "golden trains" and many others. Or you must come, take an audio guide (included into entrance fee) and see & listen.... there are a lot of very interesting stories, there are many unsolved secrets even now. Enjoy the castle, the subterranean, the magical terraces...

It's a great historical place to visit. You can learn a lot of things. I liked the complementary guided tour system. Summer is the best time to visit since you can go to the garden
