Murghzar Zoo

Islamabad Zoo is the best zoo in twin cities. Environment is clean & healthy. I have seen improvement in over all condition since my last visit a couple of months ago. A good place for kids and families.

A very good hangout for your kids and even bigs. The condition overall is neat but it can be improved. My kids really like going there and see the star attraction - the elephant and lions. I recommend the authorities should take greater care of the wildlife in the zoo as well.

It was opened in 1978 and is under the administration of capital development authority Of Pakistan.

The Zoo started in 1978 as a refuge for Leopards, Spotted deer, and Indian gazelle found in the region and is administrated by capital development authority of pakistan.
Located in the feet of margalla hills.
Its soon gain popularity and become the part of the japanese garden.

The estimated cost of the project is 1407.8 million Pakistani rupees.

One of the best zoos in the country, specially the parking space and surroundings are way better than any other zoo, nice environment, spacious enclosures for animals, the zoo wasn't smelly like Lahore or Karachi zoo,
The canteens in the zoo needs to up their service a bit, rates were very reasonable compared to such places, usually rates in the such places are very high but not here, the mosque should be upgraded and there should a place for wudhu for ladies, and some taxi people had parked their taxis in front of the gate they should be moved from there,

Play area for kids swings, trampoline.

Nice Jurassic Park.

Walking distance from daman-e-koh, lots of visitors, nice view point

A nice clean zoo. Animals look well maintained and active. Their range of birds is good as well.
Should add some more animals though. Compared to the Lahore Zoo, this is much better

Great place. Entry ticket is Rs. 10 for kids feom 5 to 12 years of age and Rs. 20 for adults. Entry of kids under 5, senior citizens, special persons and CDA employees is free.

Good place for kids. Normally it hot here so check weather before visiting. Overall well maintained and an exciting place for kids.

Islamabad zoo at very nominal entry fees. I visited with my wife and two kids paying them about £0.40. Heavily subsidised I understand. A lot can be done to improve like keeping green grass lush and cropped. All food outlets can be placed at one place, improving their cleanliness and hygiene. All rides were nice and my kids enjoyed. Staff was helpful and animals were looking in good form. You can pay about seventy pence to elephant keeper and go inside the cage and pose with friendly Asian elephant. I believe 🐘 ride is available during winters.

Also horse riding and camel ride was great fun. I took camel 🐫 ride for the first time in my life too.

Zoo is well managed, a good place to bring family and kids for amusement. There is also a artificial dianasore portion which is also good. Well managed & clean place must visit if you are going with family to Damn e Koh.

Amazing place to visit with your friends and family. The zoo have lions, bears and many surprising and amusing animals and birds. It's really worth visiting the zoo.

The beautiful Islamabad Zoo also called it Marghazar Zoo Islamabad, located in Pir Sohawa Road, Punjab, Pakistan. It was established in 1978, under the administration Capital Development Authority (CDA). Its spread an area about 82 acres in Land.

Islamabad city always be in the top of the list among tourist and visitors, because of its natural green beauty which is spread all over the Islamabad city nicely. The new developments and maintained for the whole city has done in a very professional way.

Yes it's good zoo but there is a few things I have noticed one the Lion cage is small second the cages must be more natural they must increase the trees inside cages.. animals likes natural environment also wolves cages was very small and to much down .. they should increase the sizes of cages . It's cruelty with the animals . I request to government of pakistan to please focus on animals rights and protection to.. thank you

Great place to have fun with kids. They have lots of animals including lion, elephant, zebra, and many more... they also have a huge cage, in which you can go and meet the birds, live!!!

Magzar zoo is closed and not because of covid 19.... Because their is no one who look after it.. condion of this zoo is really bad. ... Very saaaaaad situation. From karachi I go their in Islamabad to watch but they said it's closed.. very sad messy situation.

It's a small zoo but very neat n clean. Lots of animals are in cages. I hope they are looked after very well.

Nice place for kids and family visitors but full of public crowd which is a little bit uneasy to walk through and get some great snap shots.

Islamabad zoo has improved alot in thepast few years... you can find a variety of different species of animals. Kids love to see them, and its also quite educating
