Kabul Restaurant is located in Jinnah Super Market in F-7 Markaz Islamabad. Consistency in food, service, and quality is what defines Kabul Restaurant. The prompt arrival of the food, consistently great, is always a delight. And, of course, the green tea afterwards is a pleasant touch, particularly for meat lovers. Our order included Namkeen tikka, Tikka boti, Kabki palao, Chicken roast, Namkeen karahi, and chicken karahi.
Overall, everything was commendable:
- Namkeen Tikka boti: 10/10
- Kabab tikka: 8/10
- Palao: 10/10
- Chicken roast: 8.5/10
- Namkeen karahi: 7/10
- Chicken Karahi: 9/10
It is advisable to stick to their specialty, which is Qabli food (Qabli palao, Namkeen tikka). Two things to be cautious about: this place is cash-only, and the green tea might cost more than your meal, so it's better to inquire about the rates beforehand. Overall, a good dining experience.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant! It was my first time ever trying afghan food, so I don’t have much reference to compare to… but it was very delicious! Service is a bit confusing, so make sure you order everything at once. But staff were very nice and helpful!

Yummy food and economical too. The chicken roast is yammiest. Kabli pulao is must try and beef tikka is some thing must accompany with every order and don't forget to try their green traditional vineger sauce.

A taste of Kabul in the heart of Islamabad:

Nestled in the bustling F-7 district, Kabul Restaurant F-7 is a hidden gem serving up authentic Afghan flavors that will transport your taste buds straight to the streets of Kabul. From the moment you step inside, the warm aroma of spices and grilled meats envelops you, creating an inviting and immersive dining experience.

**A culinary journey through Afghanistan:**

The menu at Kabul Restaurant F-7 is a celebration of Afghan cuisine, boasting an array of delectable dishes that cater to every palate. I highly recommend starting with the **chapli kebab**, succulent minced lamb patties grilled to perfection, and the **mantoo dumplings**, steamed pockets of goodness filled with a variety of savory fillings. For the main course, the **qorma badenjan**, a slow-cooked eggplant stew infused with rich spices, is a must-try. And don't forget to end your meal on a sweet note with the **qubani ka meetha**, a creamy apricot dessert that is simply divine.

**Beyond the food:**

What truly sets Kabul Restaurant F-7 apart is its atmosphere. The warm hospitality of the staff, the vibrant decor reminiscent of traditional Afghan homes, and the gentle strumming of Afghan music all come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. It's a place where you can relax, unwind, and savor the flavors of Afghanistan in the company of loved ones.

**Final verdict:**

I think Kabul Restaurant serves the most authentic and tasty Afghani food. We ordered beef tikka and kata kat, both were out of the world in terms of taste. A must visit place; highly recommended.

I visited kabul restaurant last week to enjoy their speciality dishes like afghani qabli pulao and boti. Both of them were very good, but the afghani tikka boti was out of the world. They also serve qofta curry with pulao. The restaurant was heavily crowded and we had to ask many times for the seating place.

This place never disappoints me. One of the best Afghani food in Islamabad. Excellent value, Great taste minus the ambiance which is below average.

Try not to visit between 7 pm- 9 pm as you may encounter poor service due to traffic in the restaurant.

Amazing and delicious food.
The staff was nice.
There was a bit of wait even tho we reserved a table. But it wasn't that long, so it was ok.

I've been visiting this place since 10 years now, quality is a bit compromised now as the rates are doubled.
Traditional afghan salad is no more available and is replaced with typical salad. Naan sizes are also shorten.
Still they are serving a huge deal of customers. Overall 6.5.

there are few things or areas in which they need to work, firstly they should arrange more sitting space outside, then they should work on their roof top as it was all full of smoke as well as was warm up there. They can beautify that area. They are in F-7, and I was shocked that they don't have the facility to pay the bill with the Bank ATM 🏧 card. Overall, they should work on their ambience inside the halls.

It's not actually the original Kabuli couisine. They have afghani food of northern Afghanistan flavor, i.e. Tajiki taste. The owner and employees are all from Mazare Sahrif. The karahi has extra tomatoes making it taste sweeter. The pulao though is Kabuli flavour

It is one of the oldest restaurants In Islamabad. It still taste great as it did in start. The company has maintained quality overtime. The price is competitive and food is really really really fresh and tasty. The food consists of basic ingredients like salt and pepper not much of complex spices, still it taste unbelievable yummmmm.

I am a regular customer from my childhood

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

“New” Kabul Restaurant since 1983. It’s still new even after 40 years in business. This is the original Kabul Restaurant which is one of Islamabad’s best restaurants. The quality of food has always been excellent. Beef tikkas and beef kebabs are highly recommended. Nice place to go with friends and family. The adjoined Afghan Bakery also has an excellent range of baked goods and breads.

If you want to get some authentic kabuli pulao, this is the place to go. The food is delicious. Place is always overcrowded, so do expect some delay in service. On the other side, is the place is overcrowded, there must be some reason :)

kabul restaurant is now in phase 7 bahria . We ordered 1- Mantu (served with gravy and yougurt) filled with beef mince, 2- Karrahi made in gravy tomatoes and moderate spices, 3- Mutton Tikka served on seekh bbq well on coal, and their speciality 4- chullo kbab pulao. What i loved the most was that "Yakhni" drink they served us complimentary as starter. Quite heart warming in winters. Over all food was too good. What inloved the most is seating arrangement on couch with cushions.
