Great hostel with comfortable beds. Hosts are super friendly and give great tips on possible treks in the canyon. Home made pizza and bread from the oven were very tasty!

The place was really beautiful and cozy. The beds were comfy and warm and everything was clean. The restaurant was also amazing!!! Great pizza and fun vibe. The staff was very kind and helpful when planning the hike. The dogs and cat was the best part of the whole stay!!!! Made it feel like home

I can highly recommend you this place. You will be welcomed like at home. They have a very modern and cozy restaurant. The food is great, but the best is the friendliness and passion of Ludwig and his wife. You will receive upon dinner all information for you hike, and they are attending all questions. The rooms are basic but definitely enough to get a good sleep. So pack your gear, enjoy PachaMama s wood oven pizza (very authentic pizza!) and enjoy your hikes the day after in the mountains.

The best place to stay while visiting Cabanaconde. I arrived with a stomach bug; the host was exceptionally accommodating, making food off menu that would be easy on my stomach, and telling me which overpriced pharmacies to avoid. The rooms are very nice, and there is a sleepy orange cat that likes to lounge around the place.

The Food was amazing and the service was unbeatable!! Highly recommend any one not hiking with a group to stop by and grab a bite to eat, and get some great info prior to hitting the trail!

Had the most amazing stay at Pachamama! I needed up staying two nights here, one the day prior to hiking the canyon, and the night we returned. The owners really helped make everything smooth when it came to coordinating our Colca Canyon hike. They also helped coordinate transportation to Cusco. Very social atmosphere. Made new hiking friends right away and we all ended up sharing meals together. The food was incredible! Tried the alpaca steak and the alpaca pizza. Both were incredible. Breakfast was simple and fresh. Would recommend to anyone thinking of hiking the Canyon or staying in Cabanaconde. They are passionate about what they do and about delivering an exceptional experience for their guests .

The best stay in Peru. Next time I am coming for more than one night. Amazing place to stop before and after your treks for fresh incredible food and they offer showers for 8 soles before youe bus back towards Arequipa. Beds are so cozy; I will dream of these for a while. The owners are also insanely friendly and take the time to offer amazing tips and advice for the Colca Canyon trek

Highly recommend staying here for one night before starting the colca canyon hike. No need to do any research as Leardo will help with that. The pizza and pasta was delicious! It was a little pricey for a private but that's because I was solo, it would be cheaper splitting it with someone. The room and bed was very comfy and bathroom very clean, they also provide a towel.

From our first contact to help with transport to the welcome back after our canyon hike, the team at Pachamama were wonderful. Rooms are adequate with good hot showers. The dinner in the restaurant/pizzeria was social. Advice on the trail route and the map was good. If you're considering a Colca hike, Pachamama is a good start and end! Thanks team "Mother earth".

Very warm welcome and helpful service.
Even though we were staying in another hotel, Leandro and his team took excellent care of us. Advice for treks, good food, and finally he organised a comfortable and safe charter transport to Cusco, shared with other guests. Thanks!

We had a great time here! In the restaurant we could get breakfast, lunch and diner. On the night before we started hiking in the Colca Canyon we got extensive information about the routes, which was very useful. The staff is really helpful and kind. They even arranged private transport from Cabanaconde to Cusco. A point for improvement would be a bit better working WiFi. But overall, we loved our stay and we would recommend this place!

So good! Leandro and the staff just really makes you feel special. The place is clean, the bed is suuuper comfy and the sheets are so comfortable. The hotel has a roof terrace, clean showers and there is always toilet paper when needed. Also, ask for the room with private bathroom if it’s available, it is so chill. There is also a restaurant in-house which makes it easy to relax and have dinner after a hike. By the way, you will get personalized advice from Leandro for the hikes you are planning, and receive a brochure with the routes tips and everything else you need to know for checking out the Cañón Colca! Also, you can get a minibus from the hotel in the morning to go spot the Condors, we did it and saw a few flying by - we were at the Cruz del Condor before anyone else so it was like a private show of nature for us! We highly recommend it. Furthermore, we used their taxi service to Cusco (in a minibus with other hotel guests): it was so comfortable and easy that I can assure you it is a great alternative for you if you’re looking to transfer there without going back to Arequipa. The driver, Josué, was excellent and safe. We were traveling as a couple and had a lovely time.

This was my first visit to Peru, I don’t speak Spanish and I didn’t want to join a tour. Pachamama helped me with all my questions and needs. Without Pachamama, I wouldn’t have been able to do the trip the way I had wanted. Pachamama made my condor-watching trip a warm, memorable and complete experience.

We stayed at PachaMama home for two nights and went on hikes in the canyon. Our stay was very pleasant. Leandro informed us about the hikes, and we received a map with various hiking trails and all the necessary information. The restaurant offered excellent breakfast and dinner. Don't miss trying their sandwich, perfect for on-the-go. Definitely the best place to begin your adventure in Calco Canyon.

An absolute example of how hospitality should be! Leandro and his team were very helpful and the food that was served was really good. Accomodation has nice beds and a warm shower. Leandro was very helpful with planning day trips and arranging transport to Cusco. The number of hiking trips that they offer through the Colca Canyon is enormous and they will give you a detailed and tailor made travel advice for your hikes. I felt very welcome at this hostel, really liked the vibe at the hostel and the staff did a really good job at bringing all guests together as one big family.

Super awesome hostel, owners are lovely and provide heaps of information for anyone looking to solo trek the canyon. Woodfire pizza is definitely worth it and the bread for breakfast is the best we have encountered in peru..

Really enjoyed our Stay here, host is super kind. Best thing is the briefing/meeting in the evening, where you will go through all the different options regarding the canyon. You don't need to book a guided tour.

Stayed here 2 nights before and after hiking in the Colca Canyon. What can I say? Incredible nice and helpful people that help you with the preparation of the hike, great rooms and showers, delicious pizzas and breakfast. Nice tour to the condors. And definitely go for the takeaway lunch. The bread is super yummy! Definitely the place to be in Cabanaconde.
