So very worth the hike. You can wade at the base of the falls, there is 2- beautiful scenery. Beautiful jungle hike. Took about an hour round trip, with some elevation gain, many stairs. I stopped and waded several minutes at each falls. $20 soles for non-peruvians entrance fee, paid near the top but they are wonderfully friendly and have drinks available to purchase and a beautiful garden to see.

Waterfalls are small so think of it as a lovely walk in nature and not typical waterfalls in national parks. Can’t think of a better way to spend a day while waiting for our MaPi tickets. Climate in the forest was very cool and peaceful. Walk starts very steep with steps but ends with very manageable slopes towards the top. Paid s/20 per pax, well worth the upkeep of the trail. Bring cash. Can’t be 100% sure but think we got a glimpse of some Machu Picchu ruins from the high point of the trail. Took 40 mins each way.

Absolutely loved this adventure! The hike was great, the local lady who lived in the jungle with her 3 kids and husband was nice to talk to, and the waterfalls were fabulous and fresh!

Cost 20 sol for tourists and 10 sol for locals to go through the gate to the waterfalls.

We swam in the water and under the waterfalls.

Only heard about this place from a local police guard on the corner of a street!

Great hike to kill some time if you are waiting for your train. It is also a nice spot to get a quick dip in the water to clean off before the train. We didnt know but it costs 20/s per person and they charge you near the top so you have invested time, so now invest money! The walk was definitely in the jungle and cool in the afternoon sun.

Very short and easy hike. Something to add on your list to immerse yourself in nature and out of the bustling center

Good hike, the fee at the end to view the falls sneaks up on ya a bit

Beautiful jungle route to two waterfalls. The route is challenging but rewarding!

Our total time from the main square to the second waterfall and back was about 2 hours. The entrance fee is 20 sol.

Hidden paradise in aguas calientes. Totally worthy to hike. Pretty close to the center. The entrance costs 20 soles. Please visit this place to energise your soul with nature.

Nice, off the beaten path hike and waterfalls view. It is short but somewhat demanding, short waterfalls too, but path is very well maintained by a local fellow stationed half way through the hike. Definitely worth taking the hike.

A beautiful walk through the high jungle to a peaceful waterfall. Find the gate pictured below to start the hike. 25 mins in, pay 10 soles to the caretaker, walk on for 15 more mins to see two waterfalls (the last one is the largest).

Very nice walk. And great attention to detail of the family taking care of the trail (including small replicas of inca sites)

Fantastic walk into a high altitude rain forest. Very much worth the walk if you have time after Machu Picchu. The 10 sol entry fee charged by the off the grid caretaker couple covers the trail maintenance and use of the composting toilet. Take the time to look at the Inca town sculptures - neat!

Amazing little hike to a beautiful waterfall. When I went, I was the only one on the trail, so it’s definitely a hidden gem. There scenery is beautiful; and the people that run it have built what I can best describe as “fairy castles” around the trail, which are super cute. Lots of flowers, fungi, and some birds (I saw a motmot). The path is quite steep, especially at the beginning, but seems well maintained and has banisters and benches along the way. There is a station about 2/3 of the way where you pay 10 soles ($3) to go see the falls. As a moderately experienced hiker and spry young person, the round trip from the road took me just over 1 hour at a very leisurely pace. Trailhead is actually at 57R9RFVH+27 on google maps.

Beautiful waterfall after a moderate difficulty hike. It's a little hard to find but just ask the locals. This is a nice complement after a morning in Machu Picchu.
