Nice "cabinas" style rooms with modern conveniences but somewhat rustic too with some old fashioned touches like hot water bottles to warm up your bed. We had a couple decent meals here. We got stuck here an extra day when we couldn't get out due to the Machu Picchu strike and the train not running and it was fine.

We hiked into Aquas Calientes from Hydroelectrico since the trains weren't running during the recent strike. Inkaterra stayed open for us during the strike--we were literally the only guests on the property one night!

Full service, fully staffed, upgraded suite--we couldn't believe that they didn't shut the hotel down during the strike. It was awesome--they made us feel like royalty and we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful property, great restaurant and the spa service was great. The icing on the cake was that my wife left something valuable in the room when we checked out and the staff got it back to us in Urubamba two days later. Kudos to the staff and the management who went above and beyond. We were impressed!

Excellent hotel location with great service. Both the dinner and breakfast are included with room. Please note the restroom faucet water is not chemically treated so avoid drinking the water in general. Both the dinner and breakfast were excellent with great service. Highly recommended.

This property is unique. It was originally a coffee and tea plantation, and they continue to grow (and serve) their tea here. There is also an extensive orchid garden here, with Ann extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide -- get the guided tour or you'll miss a lot of the most interesting stuff.
The rooms have open beam (log?) ceilings, and appear to be constructed of adobe. The beds are huge -- but comfortable. The bathroom decor is impressive, crafted from stone tile.
They offer an excellent breakfast buffet.
This place blew us away.

If Tarzan ever quit flying through the jungle and OPENED a RUSTIC LUXURY HOTEL this is what it would look like. Situated just on the edge of town, it is a quiet and exotic retreat in the middle of the jungle. It has all the amenities- SPA and RESTAURANTS you need to enjoy your time before and after your visit to Machu Pichu.

If we knew what it was all about, we’d have ADDED another night.

This hotel was a dream come true! Everything about it was perfect! It was secluded and it felt like we were in our own private jungle tucked away from the city. The hot tub/pool area was beautiful. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating

We had an amazing 3 nights in a nice suite with outside hot tub. The property is an amazing rain forest with an orchid garden in the property. You can also do free excursion in the property( thee factory, bird watching, orchid garden) the staff is really friendly and helpful nothing is to much to ask. The breakfast is really good and a lot of choice. The diner was good and tasteful but the main courses are a little to much based on French kitchen. So sometimes to heavy, we would have preferred more fusion. In overall it was an amazing experience with them.

I recently had the chance to stay at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, and let me tell you, it was an experience I'll never forget. Tucked away in the beautiful cloud forest close to the famous Machu Picchu site, this place is the perfect mix of comfort, natural beauty, and fascinating history.

The first thing that hit me was the location. You're basically staying in a cloud forest, surrounded by nature, and it's as peaceful as you'd imagine. My room looked out on this lush green forest, which was an incredible sight to wake up to.

The rooms here feel like you've stepped into a cozy Andean village house. My room was clean, super comfortable, and it had everything I needed. Plus, the local crafts used in the decor gave it an authentic Peruvian touch.

In terms of food, the hotel's restaurant serves up some fantastic Andean dishes. Everything's made with fresh, local ingredients, so you really get a taste of Peru. And if you're looking to unwind, they've got a spa that offers a bunch of treatments – ideal after a long day exploring!
One of the things that I loved about Inkaterra was the focus on nature and conservation. The hotel has its own Orchid Garden and a Spectacled Bear Rescue Center, which were really cool to check out. They also have an organic tea plantation where you can try your hand at making tea.

A major highlight of my stay was the guided tour to Machu Picchu. The guide was super knowledgeable, and it was great getting to learn more about the history and culture of the Incas.
I also have to mention the staff. They were all incredibly friendly and helpful, which made my stay even better.

In terms of safety, I felt really secure during my stay. It's clear that the hotel takes safety seriously, and the staff were well-prepared for any situation.

All in all, my stay at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel was fantastic. With its amazing location, great facilities, and the chance to visit Machu Picchu, it's a real gem. It's the kind of place that sticks with you, and I'm already thinking about when I can go back.

Best Hotel!!!
I wrote a similar review of the Inkaterra in Urubamba Valley. This one followed the same model. Service, service, location, location and attention to details! Built around their environment (like the Incas), eco-friendly and it feels you are staying in a Forest! We did the 2 days Inca Trail, so arriving to this paradise was a relief! The front desk lady (sorry forgot your name, maybe Sylvia? but we were the couple from Puerto Rico) gave us a tour of the hotel and took us to our room. Beautiful, spacious and great outside view!
We got a couple’s massage the next day and got in the outside hot pool and reinvigorated to be ready for Huayna Picchu! The food at the restaurant was superb as well as the service! Everything we asked for was provided! These people are amazing and we again wished we had stayed more than 2 nights! But the two nights were real vacation! Thank guys for the pampering!

The Casita we were in was amazingly beautiful. The fireplace in our Casita was a very nice touch and the staff were there to light it (almost) before we hung up the phone. The bathroom was amazingly decorated with stone tiles on the floors and walls and the rustic appeal of the Casita made for a memorable stay.
The grounds of the hotel are comprised of fawna and greenery of a great variety.
They provide excursions on the grounds and the services are amazing.
The prompt responses to the customer service desk, were impressive.
The staff seem to be extremely happy to help and the meals were perfectly proportioned and delicious! The restaurant overlooks the river and provides a great backdrop for the (included) breakfasts and dinners!
The pools are beautiful and the hot tubs were enticingly warm.
The masseuse was amazing.
I believe the massage I got here, from Analise (I believe was her name) was the best hotel-massage I have received around the world.

Our room is fantastic. Excellent dinner and breakfast is included. You receive a free one hour tour of the grounds (take it!) as well. Don't drink any alcohol here though - an after dinner wine and mimosa cost me 35$. I live in a resort area and that's just ridiculous!

Wow. Just wow. Must stay here. Amazing rooms. Private, large, comfortable, luxury. The grounds are incredible. Wish we would have stayed a few days.

We stayed here as part of a tour, and it was comfortable. I would recommend NOT wearing shorts to avoid getting bitten in the ankles by some kind of insect. My ankles swelled up after an interesting walk around the property to view orchids.

Our casita was gorgeous and the grounds of this hotel are beautiful as well. The nature around you is very nice, with that comes big spiders and I became okay with that. We had a casita with an outdoor shower and jacuzzi I wanted to use the jacuzzi but it had tons of leaves in it. Just ask them to skim it if you really want to use it. Sleep fully clothed as you may get some bug bites(you're in nature so this is not a cleanliness issue it's natural and you should expect this with how you're in the middle of the forest). I did want to leave my storage there while I went to macchu picchu but the front desk rep seemed a little annoyed that we needed to leave our stuff which was a little weird because they had a storage room specifically for this. Nonetheless this is the best place to stay in that area
And the reviews stating food was no good are incorrect. We're from New York/Connecticut and we KNOW good food and the complimentary dinner and breakfast were VERY GOOD - for reference I ordered the tortellini for dinner and the eggs Benedict's for breakfast
And I was extremely satisfied. We received a couples massage with coca leaves and it was really really really amazing. We are thankful for our stay and the staff was lovely.

One of the most beautiful placed I've stayed. Its located very close to the train station, but its actually inside a big jugle forest. The resort is so spacious, so clean, intetegrated into the nature. You can hear the birds sing day or night.
You have the option to go on special tours around the resort to visit local villages or discover the nature.
The restaurant is fabulous. Every plate that we ordered was so deliciuous. We came with our two kinds and they both liked the dinner and also he breakfast, next morning.
I cannot suggest a better place to stay.
