Mapacho Craft Beer Restaurant

A wonderful place right next to the river. Very friendly staff. Our waiter Billy did an excellent job, always smiling, helpful with the suggestions for the food. The fast flowing riven just added so well to the experience. Heartily recommended this place.

Paola was a very pleasant waitress! She made some great recommendations for food and drinks and was more than happy to practice speaking Spanish with me! I sat on the upper level next to the window, and the view of the powerful river was mesmerizing. For dinner I ate the Alpaca topped with Elderberry sauce, and it was absolutely scrumptious! I highly recommend dining here!

Mapacho Craft Beer Restaurant had great food and amazing views. The Peruvian seafood was excellent. The ceviche was good. First time trying alpaca. The taste profile is similar to beef in my opinion. Main courses were good as well. The sours were very well made. The service was courteous, attentive, and friendly. Overall a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

Ammmmmmmmazing restaurant. The gnocchi is out of this world. If you’re looking for great drinks their sours are awesome, especially the strawberry; the passion fruit is great, too.

I loved it! The server (Billy) was amazing, my mom and I took his recommendation because he knows the menu by heart and knows exactly how to recommend the right thing for you.
The Pisco Sour is amazing, highly recommend you try it. And if you got the pleasure to have the server called Billy as well, ask him anything, he is very nice and so ready to help (and if you want to be extra nice to him, give him a coin of a foreign country)
The only reason I don’t give the ambiente 5 stars is because it is a little loud due to the river right next to it. It’s impressive but a little loud, maybe not so much in summer, I don’t know

I had an executive menu. The food was really good and at a very economical price considering it’s Mchupicchu. 55 soles (14€) for 3 course meal. The ají de gallina was very tasty and the service really good.

perfect setting and tasty food. 2 minutes from the Machu Picchu bus across a little bridge, within a cluster of restaurants. Bonus points - craft beer

The food here is outstanding. The presentation is beautiful, and everything we tried was delicious. The staff are all very courteous, the view out their window wall of the river is lovely, and we really enjoyed our meal here.

Amazing location along the river, great service and well out together dishes. Staff is bilingual which helps. Menu has a lot of options but not over overwhelming. Great selection of beers too! Our guide said they are very supportive of the local guides and porters which is a huge plus!

Great location the river.. during the rainy season its gets loud! The food was delicious, I ordered the quinoa risotto with vegetables (vegetarian) and my friend ordered the Lomo a la Parilla. We both enjoyed our meals. The craft beers are also nice.

I ordered trout and craft beer. Both were very tasty. I'm alone, but she guided me to the window seat. The waitress was always smiling and pleasant. The price was also a little cheaper than the same restaurant. This is the place I want to come again.

We went here for lunch after our Machu Picchu hike. The prices are a little above average. However, the burgers we had were excellent. They ask you how the meat should be cooked. The meat was juicy as it should be. If you want a good burger, go here. Nice location next to the river as well.

Amazing location, open air with the Urubamba River to one side and the train tracks to the other. Not a beer person, but am SO glad I came here anyway. The food was phenomenal, in particular the Ensueño Peruano, a dessert trio (trust me). Service was impeccable and a young guy named Kevin I believe is the owner-- a solid dude whose positive energy makes the place feel very special. Be sure not to skip this place when you make your way through Aguas Calientes :)

Wonderful service, great location after coming back from machu picchu! And near the hostel we were staying at. Was recommended by a local policeman/security officer. Food was tasty, as we're drinks. Had alpaca burger and guinea pig. Not too expensive for what we got. Generous portion size. Would visit again if I was in the area! Also got my macchu picchu stamp in my passport here!

We had a great time at Mapacho after our visit to Machu Picchu! Victor and Kevin were our waiters and they handled all of our requests. They were very friendly and spoke excellent English. There is a great beer selection here and the pizza was delicious (loved the alpaca pizza!). Great views if you get a seat by the window.

We ate here with our tour guide from Alpaca Expeditions, Walter. The food was delicious, they had live Peruvian music, and was the perfect place for a good dinner with great company!

Amazing food - the lamb with risotto was a real highlight! Camilo was a great host.

Came here for lunch and ordered Peruvian Trilogy for starters which includes yucca dumplings, ceviche and Lima Cause. For mains we ordered filled chicken breast and grilled Alpaca steak in elderberry sauce served Quinoa risotto. It was so good. I highly recommend it. the Alpaca steak was well done and a bit rubbery for my liking even though I ordered for medium well. Our server Ada was very attentive and apologized and gave us pisco sour drinks for free to compensate for what happened. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its superb food and service and also its location by the river. Sit on the second floor by the window because the views are impeccable!
