I went to David because another barber did a nut job with a simple beard shave and beard mark. Within a minute, I knew I was in the best professional hands. I had just completed 6 days of trekking so the face, shoulder and head massage were amazing. And of course David corrected all the errors of the other barber. One of my best experiences...ever. Gracias David.

Haircut was mediocre. Barber was stand offish. Experience was overall blah. And put me out 80 soles.

Came in to get a fresh clean cut. Head and beard shaved clean, single razor and nothing left. Beard was left with tons of stubble (5 o’clock shadow straight out the gate), didn’t even bother with the razor on the head. Did what he could with the clippers and mailed it in.

The barber, I think his name was David (although I have no clue since he couldn’t be bothered to respond to me when I said hi or attempted some light small talk). He seemed like he didn’t want to be there. He did thump me on the face a couple times when he wanted me to relax my chin or upper lip after he was done trying to shave it.

Only reasons it’s not a single star is that it is serviceable till I get home. That being said, if I had it to do again, I’d wait until I got to Lima to get a decent cut. Save your soles and get some ice cream if you have some free time.
