Big Brother's Bar

We just landed in Pueblo of Machu Picchu today and decided to try this cute restaurant. Excellent service and food the meat were delicious ! Highly recommend this Resto Bar.

We were drawn in by the free pool, and it was a mistake. It was dingy and dirty, with prices that varied from person to person, all of which were at least double what everywhere else was charging- AND those prices were just for one drink! (Most places offer 2 for 1 drinks, or even 4 for 1!). And to top it all off we couldn't even play pool because they didn't have all the pool balls, or a triangle to rack them.

I wish I could rate this dump a 0. We had some time to kill before our train ride so we decided to play some pool at this "bar" and get some happy hour drinks (advertised to be until 8). As soon as we entered, the fake hippie owner ordered us pisco sours and started burning copious amounts of incense for "good vibes" but in reality to hide the terrible smell coming from the bathroom. Everything in this place was falling apart. There were potholes in the floor that were hastily covered with carpets and mysterious stains on the furniture. We saw a tarantula scampering up the wall. The pool table didn't even have the right amount of balls and the cues were broken and then "fixed" with electrical tape. Needless to say we wanted to get out of there asap which is when the real fun started. We went to pay and we were informed that happy hour actually started *after* 8 (like every other happy hour you've ever heard of right?). Gallingly enough, they continued to try to attract people into their bar with shouts of "happy hour". Two of our number spoke spanish so we started disputing this. The owner and the bar tender "corrected" our spanish even after we showed him the google translate of the sign posted out front. At which point came a bunch of excuses from them; "Different language, different culture"; "No habla ingles (after inviting us in in english); "why are you guys so uncool" and my favorite "someone else made that sign". We refused to go along with the scam at which point he told us that our pisco sour glasses were too big and that in fact the happy hour glasses were smaller. We paid for happy hour and left.

Just avoid this place...it is the most aggressively awful bar I've ever been in.

More than double the price on a local cusquena beer. Been buying them all week and couldn't believe it when she told me the price (after already opened). Immediately left. Also offers free pool without a complete set up. A dive bar that also rips you off haha, no thanks!

Agradable el lugar pero al momento de pedir la cuenta nos estaban cobrando el 20% por servicio de mesa.

Terrible servicio. Insultos y maltratos por parte del mozo.
