Cerro La Cruz Viewpoint

I came here and ended up seeing quite possibly the most amazing view as far as the eye can see. To the west you will see mountains upon mountains until they disappear into the far distance. To the east you will see Anton Valley surrounded by a couple of mountain ranges. And right within those mountains is the border of Cocle and Panama Oeste provinces. By the way, I am not talking about the viewing platform where the large cross resides. Instead, I am referring to the hill above it.

This higher viewing area is about two hundred and fifty meters further up the road. You will be met by parking lots on both sides. The walkway from the parking lot to the top of the mountain is about one hundred meters, very inclined and poorly paved so be careful. Once you arrive on top, it will feel like you summited a mountain as you will see far in all directions. The view is truly spectacular. It is very windy so be prepared. Looks like the place doesn't close so you may visit any time of the day or night.

Cerro la Cruz has a beautiful view of the mountains, pleasant weather and easy acces by car.

If you do not have time for a long (4-5 hour) walk, then take this short daring drive up to the cime of the volcano crest and admire the valley!
