This was a lovely hike. Short and easier than many others in the area. And you can see the local golden frog exhibit.

This is an easy hike that could be completed at a leisurely pace in between 30 and 45 minutes. But it's pleasant enough that we easily dragged it out to an hour as we sought sloths. We didn't see any but know others who have. There's a deck with views of the surrounding hills toward the end of the trail that would make a nice place for a picnic. While an easy hike, it is not wheelchair accessible.

Beautiful location. Nice easy walk in mainly shaded area. We saw lots of wildlife including sloths and squirrels. The golden frogs and other species that are on display in the small museum are really interesting and a friendly member of staff talked to us about each one. This is part of a research and breeding programme as most of those you can see are critically endangered. Well worth a visit and the small entry fee. Takes about 45 minutes to walk here from the middle of town or about 20 minutes from the Golden Frog Inn where we stayed.

A moderate hiking trail perfect for families that costs $4 per person. Took my parents in their early 70s and some of the trail was challenging for them, but we grabbed a walking stick and helped them out. Most people would have no issues. The climate is lovely and lots too see. The water is crystal clear and easy to access. A great place to support.

This nature hike was spectacular!! We took our parents who are in thier 70's & they were able to do the hike. Slightly concerned they would have difficulty, but it was okay. The view and walk was so lovely and its a great hike for families. We saw loads of mushrooms & flora.

Very easy 30 min stroll where you can see some beautiful wildlife, be surrounded by nature and get to the famous square trees. It's 4$/person and you have to pay ate the reception of the Hotel Campestre.

We came to the Square Trees Nature trails not only for the hike, but also to find a geocache hidden there. Unfortunately the cache was not hidden where it was supposed to be, but was sitting in the office of the Golden Frog "sanctuary, research center". I can"t recall its official title. This was ok though as it led us to meet a young woman named Allie (sp?) that works there. We had a nice conversation and she led us to the start of the Square Trees Hike. The hike is an easy one and i absolutely recommend it. It's well marked, beautiful and interesting. Great family hike!

great morning or afternoon family walk. Toddlers <3 and baby will probably need a carrier or to be carried. totally worth it. dont build your expectations too high for the squared trees, but the nature and animals still worth it!

Cute trail, not too difficult, but a good mix of flat ground and elevation. A beautiful steam runs alongside most of the trail. We saw several species of birds, frogs, and butterflies.

Our guide Katerine taught us a lot about the plants and wildlife on this short trail. It's a beautiful walk, very accessible for older folks like me.

Square but not overwhelmingly square. Stop in and say hello at the Conservation efforts going on. Stumbling upon a sloth was awesome.
