Great hosts. If you get the chance of being part of the Trail Fun Runs hosted here, do not hesitate to participate as they organize the best ones in El Valle. However, beware these “Fun Runs” (despite their name) can be hard and not meant for beginners as the trails run through the valley with steep hills along the way. The house is the landmark where most of the events start from.

Went for a FunRun 21km trail run thru the hills on Valle de Antón, and stayed at Casa Bennet, an 80+ years old gorgeous house with very charming host Rogelio and his family. The house is a Hostal now, where they have 5, 6 and 1 bed per room, with clean bed sheets, 3 plus bathrooms, a huge gazebo with ample tables. After returning from running a delicious lunch was waiting for us, with corn tortillas, ojaldre (fried bread) and the classic Sancocho (country chicken soup) with rice, all cooked on the spot. Bathrooms are ample and clean, and even the pets enjoyed the moment by taking a deep into the creek that runs at the back, where the water is cold 🥶 and helps with the feet specially after 21km trail run.

Es un lugar especial. Con una colección de Bonsais algunos con mas de 40 años. Todo bien cuidado y el río ni hablar. Recomendado.

Una casa espectacular con un jardín paradisíaco. Tiene una sala de billar con televisión y equipo de sonido. Tiene otra amplia sala con comedor que tiene increíble iluminación natural, jardín interior, desayunador, y todo con vista al cerro Gaital. Las habitaciones son muy acojedoras, especialmente las del segundo piso. Los baños son particularmente bonitos, con pisos y paredes recubiertas en piedra y lajas, y tienen agua caliente. La comida, es excelente, incluye platos panameños y recetas internacionales, y la casa tiene varios hornos llamativos, unos de barro y otros de ladrillo. El jardín tiene varias lagunas, una represa y un río.

La casa es hermosa y el jardín es bellísimo. En cualquier parte de la propiedad te sentirás a gusto.
Tienen talleres de bonsai y venta de conservas, tienen que probarlas!!

Siempre ha sido un lugar hermoso. Un jardín muy cuidado. La actividad a la que asistí muy bien organizada y las comidas muy ricas.

Es un lugar extraordinario, lleno de belleza natural y mucha paz. Totalmente recomendable!!!
