Aashapuri Mahadev Temple

In the border of Suryabinayak Municipality and Banepa Municipality,there is a Hindu temple called Ashapuri Mahadev Temple. As implied by the temple's name, Lord Shiva is the only deity to whom this building is entirely devoted. The Ashapureshwar Mahadev Temple is another name for Ashapuri Mahadev Temple. The god of gods, Lord Mahadev, is worshipped in this hillside shrine. The surrounding natural landscape is stunning. The sound of water can be heard within the temple from two nearby small natural springs. Doleshwar Mahadev Temple is situated about 6 km away from Ashapuri Mahadev Temple. Despite the fact that this Mahadev temple is modest, many devotees visit to worship Mahadev. There is a legend about the building of the Ashapuri Mahodav Temple. It's thought to have happened when the Pandavas were exiled in the Mahabharata era. It is still held that when one comes to this temple for hope and fulfillment of inner desire, Mahadev will grant their wishes. As a result, Mahadev commanded the Pandavas to stay at the location and blessed that Mahadev would fulfill everyone's inner desires and hopes. All things are made possible by Lord Shiva. Another place where people light a torch and let it flow with desire is a tiny brook next to the temple.

It's located on a 4.5km high hill climb from doleshwar mahadev temple, its a humid place. The temple is peaceful and small its an important monument for hindus and buddhists too. There's a great story behind the establishment of this temple. Linked to the story of pandav's forest stay. They were commanded by lord shiva himself staying here in this location and will grant all your inner wishes and hopes(aasha in nepali) its still believed that when one goes to this temple with a hope and inner wish to be fulfilled their wishes will be granted for sure. Lord shiva will make everything possible if you believe in him. There's also a small stream where people lit the lights and let it flow there with a wish!

The location pointed in this Google Map is incorrect. Ask the locals; they will show the way to the temple. It is around a 20-minute drive from Doleshwor Mahadev.

Being just 6 km from Doleshwor Temple, its been shaded to people away from Suryabinayak. It takes almost 1.5 hour to reach this holy place which has scenic beauty around it and lies on the way to Kushadevi from Doleshwor. Structurally, the temple is small but the surrounding is so clean, pure and peaceful. Its a temple of hindu god, Lord Shiva and is named as Ashapureshwor Mahadev locally. Two of the small cascades meet at the edge of this temple, so you can always get to hear the sound of stream of water flowing down rapidly. Just beside the temple, a police check post is there for you to help. One can reach this temple easily by private vehichle within 10 minutes from Doleshwor Mahadev Temple.

aashapuri mahadev temple is ancient shiva temple which was very famous in that time . This temple was stablished by god and goddesses in the happiness of Chandasura death when he was killed by ma Chandeshwori in Banepa .We can read this history in skandapuran .(a holly book skandapuran Puran )

Can reach comfertably in motorcycle, small cars, road from Pilot Baba Ashram is recommended compared to the road from Doleshwor.

I really love this place beacause for the first time I hiked here with my grandma who is no more with me so every time I visit this place I just remember the moment with her. Apart from this, it is located at the george of three different hill from where a beautiful river is flowing downward which makes it extra special place to visit

Nice religious place

hiking from sanga is best to reach here. it is believed that one who come here and pray god,the wishes he/she had will be fulfilled. I went here by hiking from sanga and it takes two hours to reach here. you can observe natural beauty in your hiking. so, it was fantastic.
