Great place to be to skip from daily city chaos. Quiet and beautiful, fully vibrant, enough open space. Ideal for an evening or morning walk or to spend time with your loved ones. The lake is clean and well maintained. Slightly crowded in the evenings nonetheless, spending a couple of hours watching its beauty is a worthwhile.

One of the oldest and historical pond in Bhaktapur, is associated with a number of myths.

Siddha Pokhari, also called as Ta–Pukhu, was constructed during rule of the Medieval King Yakshya Malla in the early fifteenth century. This human made pond is 171 m long, 73 m wide and about 3 m deep. Siddha Pokhari  is also a favorite hangout for many. You have to pay Nrs.100 for boating. You can also find public exercise park near the entrance of this pond. It is one of the must visit place by both Nepalese and foreigners.

Quite dirty water in the pond due to which fish inside are very difficult to view. Management should clean the pond on regular basis.

Perfect place to chill out with your friends. Also famous as a Dating spot among the love birds. This tiny pond is home to a large number of fishes.
Make sure you feed some fish before you leave!

Awesome place to visit. The pond is very big but you can't see varieties of fish like Rani pokhari. But you can boat and feed the fish.

Early in the fifteenth century, under the reign of the medieval king Yakshya Malla, Siddha Pokhari was built. It is regarded as Bhaktapur's oldest pond. This artificial pond is 171 meters long, 73 meters broad, and 3 meters deep. Siddha Pokhari, which sits close to the main city gate in Bhaktapur and is connected to a variety of myths of both religious and archaeological significance, has long been a favorite gathering place for people, couples, and groups of friends.
Fish feeding and boating are two of Siddha Pokhari's main attractions, and the pond is stocked with fish. A variety of foods to feed the fish are available in the little stores along the pond, and the cost varies depending on the size of the packet.
On clear days, one may also see a variety of snow-capped mountains from here.
It's the ideal place to unwind and get away from the bustle and commotion of the city.
The pond's serene atmosphere helps you unwind, and feeding the fish makes you feel at ease. Oh, and the entrance is free.

The place where I go whenever I feel low and exhausted. Mostly I visit this place at the evening time, and the time was worth visiting. All the sounds of birds, fishes and cold and peaceful environment with the sunset view. I feel so fresh there. Talking about the crowdness..it's kinda crowdy in the evening time but also this is always my all-time favourite place. 💓
