Doleshwar Mahadev Temple

Beautiful temple of Mahadev in the southeast of Bhaktapur district. It is believed to be the head of kedarnath. It is only a few kilometres far from main highway (Araniko Highway). The road is blacktopped and it is very easy to reach here.

Visit in weekdays to avoid rush.calmness is all around. Views of terrace farming deep down the hill mesmerizises everyone.

A very beautiful temple dedicated to lord Shiva. A very peaceful place. It’s the head portion of Shiva who appeared in Kedarnath. Some renovation work is going on in the temple at present. The sights surrounding the temple are also really nice. There is Manokamana Devi temple by the right along with an array of Shiva lingas. A big Nandi welcomes us. By the way the temple is located by the countryside and there aren’t much eateries on the way

There was no crowd due to Diwali. We got a very happy time at the Temple

Amazing place with extraordinary ambience the temple of doleshwar seems a wonderful place to be at. It gives a sense of serenity, exuberance and vitality. I felt calm and peaceful when there and the temple volunteers are also very nice. While there do donate some for the masterplan of constructing and renovations of the temple. Also don't miss visiting the temple backyard where there are other small temples and ashrams. You can also donate for feeding the sadhus and I also discovered a shed where there are cows who are quite friendly and calming. 😇🙏
