Grand Cafe Het Paleis

Among the reviews it’s only bad or good apparently!? We are amongst the good ones!
Of course it’s too expensive, but you know that, because it’s at an airport. But compared to other things you can get, price quality wise, this is a way better deal!

The burger was a thick one, nothing special, just good enough. We were sharing it, so they served it already divided into 2 plates and everything double (fries, mayo etc) for the rest, without extra charges, very good service! The service in general was really good, especially for Dutch standards and especially in these days where it’s really hard to find good personnel!

We shared the chocolate cake too and we almost regretted we shared it 😆 it was really good, so good, we forgot to take a picture of it 🤪😆
They had only 2 pieces left when we arrived, so asked if they could keep one for us and so they did 🤩

Even the Apple juice was freshly squeezed, or at least tasted like it 😉
Too bad they served that with a straw, many bartender’s always think only kids drink Apple juice, (I’ve been one for 20yrs, never assumed anything!!), that’s sooo 1984, that almost cost them the 5th star! 😉 (gevoelig puntje 🤪)

Super breakfast with bacon, eggs, fruit salad, café and two toast with jamon & Dutch cheese for 16 euro.

Fantastic, friendly customer service from Ali so early on a Monday morning. Nice breakfast and coffee.

Good food, quick service, friendly staff and great atmosphere. A Grand Café at the airport.

Didn't expect such good taste in airport bar and restaurant.. but was great, server was so kind too. Recommend for those waiting for connecting flight over several hours, they have got good seats to chill out. Dutches are master chef of fries, meats👍

Nice not crowded this time Cafe with kind and professional personal. Good view to airplanes in Schiphall airport of Amsterdam. If you order something to eat remember that portion will be big enough for 2 persons. Do not order too much. Better double scotch... 😉

Had the cheese fingers , and they are far different and better than fried cheese stick (if that's what you were imagining)

Excellent bar, staff really friendly, a good pub atmosphere, considering so many strangers are around the bar. I go there most times (depending on the flight connections) when I pass through Amsterdam

The chicken wings!!!!! Best whole wheat sandwich too! Everything on point. I needed a fix for my hunger and cravings at the airport. Het Paleis totally came to my rescue!! 😍😍😋😋😋😋😋

Best way to spend time in transit, had a nice evening and some good drafted cold beers. Food is airport-priced but looked pretty good as well.
