Great location along one of the canals in Leiden. Parking is a challenge, best park in one of the garages along the centre and walk to the restaurant. Book in advance; it is not to big (which makes it very charming) so it is often fully booked. The wines are great and most go by the glass. The restaurant offers food and wine pairings, wine tasting and regular dinner. We had a shared dinning experience (goed per 2 persons) and enjoyed it a lot. Food is high on taste, service attentive and friendly. It is a bit crowded inside but you get enough pricacy to enjoy the visit. Would definitely recommend going if you enjoy wine and good food. Best experience is probably the sharing!

Really chic and modern place but also in a beautiful old building, looking out on a gorgeous canal. The staff are really knowledgable about wine and super helpful, even when busy. Always friendly and professional. Just a beautiful location and the loveliest place for drinks in Leiden. Snacks are good value for money for such a nice bar. Recommend Making a reservation as it's aways popular!

If you want to drink a good glass of wine with some backstory this will be your new favorite bar. They have a lot of choice and suggestions. So you decided if you want to sit inside or outside and they will take care of the rest!

Excellent wine bar. We went for an option in which you select a number of dishes from the menu for two people, and accompanied that with 4 glasses of wine, chosen after generous tastings. The waitress was kind and very knowledgeable, the food and wines were excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. Warmly recommended.

Delicious wines and food. We had a selection of platters and all were fantastic. Giant wine list with excellent choices. Recommend the Portuguese platter of sardines, olvies and bread with a glass of wine for 11.50. Gluten free bread available.

Excellent, friendly service. Good wine selection that changes depending on the season. It is an informal, relaxing place, with a wonderful view to the Galgewater canal. You can taste their wines and accompany them with a great selectiin of cheeses (kaasplank).

The wine menu is so extensive, I could come here daily and not get bored, though that wouldn't be good for my health! The atmosphere is great, and the staff is lovely!

Great place to drink wine. They follow the coronavirus rules well. The terrace is a lot bigger in corona times, which is great. The staff always wants to help to find you a great wine.
