Reservation is helpful because this Grand Cafe is busy. Great and inviting decor, friendly and helpful staff plus lovely and most importantly, locally sourced food. What's not to like?! The new autumn&winter menu is very inviting.

Amazing Dutch brunch meets nature. Hortus Grand Cafe is a beautiful compliment to the Botanical Gardens. It is a space that caters for all; staffed with humble laid-back Dutch. The cafe can get busy. Once seated, menus are available in English and Dutch and offer a wide range of options.

Great choice of light meals and non alcoholic drinks

Lovely Cafe, lots of shade outside and nice and cozy inside. Sustainable food and drinks, high tea options. Perfect for after a visit to the Hortus Botanicus or just wander in off the Rapenburg.

We had coffee & cakes here today, after visiting the beautiful botanical garden. The staff were a delight, professional service with a friendly smile, lovely atmosphere, organic vegan & vegetarian choices. Almost too perfect ;) We will be back here for sure

A gorgeous cafe nestled within the botanical gardens. The menu takes inspiration from the garden itself, with unique and interesting takes on traditional dishes, such as seaweed and beetroot bitterballen. The cafe is definitely worth a visit.

Their cakes are to die for - some of the best cheesecake I've had! Staff are friendly and the setting is beautiful.

Very cosy place and beautiful decoration, feels like Bali. The Ginko tea and the cookie that it comes with is super delicious

Good service, and a good solution to covid. You can scan a qr code to order and pay, truly seamless experience. I recommend you try the date cake, it's among the better ones I've had!

Wonderful spot hidden behind the Rapenburg next to the beautiful Hortus Gardens with a nice terras and small café. Good food, fine wines, happy hour!
