When is not raining, its a beautiful park

Perfect place for a walk, a bike ride or an outdoors workout session. It was quite peaceful during the spring.

So much less busy than noorderplantsoen and much more nature. Such a nice place to chill in a hammock, meet friends for a picnic, and pet goats! There is a petting zoo, a children's play area, and lots of open green space.

Its like jungle , lots of beautiful scenes to sit and enjoy the view and silence , there also some fences and animals .

I got lost here about twice when I first got to know the park. There's definitely something to say for that, as you don't often find parks that large in cities in the Netherlands!
Unlike the small and overrated Noorderplantsoen, where it feels like you're almost sitting in each other's lap when it's crowded, it's relatively easy to find a quiet spot on a sunny day to hang out. I sometimes go here when I'm running and even in summer, I often find myself being completely alone with what we call "nature" as Dutch people. However, it's never too lonely. I still feel safe - no corner is left unseen by the many dog owners walking their dog.

The variety of flora is also great. In autumn I had the chance to snack some sweet chestnuts, from the three trees, that have a fair produce for their size. There are all kinds of different flowers, trees, fungi and moss... Lots of moss!

I love this park!!!

This park is a Groningen staple. Personally, I would recommend taking the little pathways around the main park. Not only is it so beautiful you may forget you’re in a city, you will be able to see and pick some berries!

Amazing, big park with a lot of walking paths along the nature. You can find a restaurant, camping and even a small zoo here. Its big enough not to be crowded on most days.

Well maintained Forest garden in Groningen. Mostly people come here with their family, kids, friends to chill. Nice parkways for cycling. Camping is also made easier here. I remember Tier park in Cologne on visiting here. Many domestic animals are kept here. Kinder park is main attraction for kids. Many people love making photography here like me.

Went there to see the hella mega tour with weezer, fallout boy and Greenday! Did not get there in time for the opening act.

About the park, everything was arranged perfectly, more than enough bathrooms and clean too, also lots of different food and beverage options.

Great place to spend a day with kids!

A place to relax. When I visit I always play Disk Golf with my friends. You can get the disks at the small shop next to the petting zoo. Completing the course will send you through the park and you get to experience all its different sides. 10/10 would go again

Such a neat place! Beautiful and fun to explore. The goats and cows we met are very friendly.

Awesome park to Enjoy Good Weather and having a walk. The Park is huuuuge, so no Problem to find Empty spots to Hang out with your friends. There are also Baskets where you can Play Frisbee 👐

Feels larger than it is because the vegetation is dense and there are many paths. Variation of grassy areas, young forest and older shadowed forest. Great for a short walk any time of year.
