Grafisch Museum Groningen

Very interesting museum with a friendly staff. Highly recommended!

This weekend we participated in a workshop organised by GRID on the topic of streetart and the history of street art in the city of Groningen.

The presentation was really interesting and well-given, you really could "dive" into the topic.
Later we visited streetart-sites in the city. For us as tourists it was a unique opportunity to discover the city from a whole new perspective.
Finally we also got creative and our group designed a fanzine.
It was much fun, at the same time we learned a lot about art, the city and also about Riso-Printing.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! I am a graphic designer and I started out on my career when computers first became available for public consumption in 1988. We used to use some of these machines and I love them. They are the computers of old. The people are very welcoming and knowledgeable and I enjoyed to home-made booklet exercise and watching the big old green giloutine in action. Perhaps the negative comments come from people who lack the imagination to see the part these these wonderful printing machines have played in our history and the people who had the expertise to use them... Perhaps something can be done to bridge the gap. A film perhaps? I'm available - ha ha.

Very friendly staff, who conducted a free demonstration of all the machines in the museum. My experience was almost a print workshop than a mere visit, which I found very interesting and a great value for money

This place was amazing. The nice staff explained all about the printing machines they have, showed how they work and told stories about them.

The museum is beautiful, with lots of old school printing machines and press. We enjoied our guided tour and we loved the workshop we did afterwards! We wanted more!! :)

Just incredible place for the art lovers:) many options to try what you like. My child also enjoyed it

Prachtige collectie! Leuke rondleiding met demonstraties: alle machines doen het! Mijn kind van 10 was heel trots om "zelf" een afdruk te kunnen maken met een oude pers. Leerzaam en indrukwekkend.

Er is aan ons een informatieve tour enthousiast gegeven door Bert, aanrader. De (oude) drukmachines worden werkend gedemonstreerd. Wij waren ongeveer een anderehalf uur in het museum, inclusief de bosatlas expositie.

Fijne plek met veel informatie! Aardige man van het museum heeft ons veel verteld over de (werkende!) drukpersen. We mochten dingen zelf proberen en kregen dit mee als souvenir, aanrader!

Super leuk museum. Het leuke is dat alle drukpersen nog volledig functioneel zijn. Er waren ook enthousiaste vrijwilligers met veel kennis. Wij hebben een uitstekende rondleiding gehad waar bij wel zelf ook een afdruk hebben mogen maken.

Heel mooi museum waarbij je veel zelf mag/kunt doen. Hele aardige enthousiaste mensen die je graag helpen. (De werkman expositie was prachtig)

Gezellig leerzaam doe museum waar ook leuke workshops worden gehouden.

Het was een koude dag en wij vluchtten dit museum binnen.
Maar wat een verrassing! Deskundige vrijwilligers demonstreerden het drukken van een krant en vertelden over de boekdrukkunst. Ook de expositie was de moeite van het bekijken waard.
Wat een leuk museum!
