I went with my mom and my daughter, 3 generations! It was lovely to see my mom recognizing everything from her youth, me remembering some things and my daughter to be surprised by how it all went in the past. My mom’s house could be a museum as well actually, because she as well collected many things from the past, so it also felt like home!

The entrance fee is slightly pricey compared to other museums in Europe, but given the circumstances it's worth a visit if you're in the area. Just to manage expectations, please note not all exhibitions come with English translation. My partner is Dutch and she was kind to interpret / translate for me.

It wasn't too busy on a Sunday morning, we spent about 1.5 hours here.

great little museum. gives a true sense of life in the poor working class neighborhood of Utrecht the 1700's and the multifaceted and rich community that developed in Wijk C over time.

Small museum with interesting information. The staff (two guys) are very kind, they give me explanations about the museum and set the video in English for me. Museumkaart valid.

A very nice place to see how the working district existed in the past. If you go there, don't forget to smell the 12 wonderful scent in the second floor 😁😁

Quaint interactive display. Most items in Dutch. Recomend if you have plenty of time to get to know Utrecht and it's working class history.
