Hoog Catharijne

Crown Plaza Hotel at Hoog Catharijne offers a seamless blend of convenience and luxury, making it an ideal destination for a relaxing stay. The prime highlight during my visit was the proximity of the hotel to a bustling shopping haven – the Hoog Catharijne Mall. As luck would have it, my stay coincided with the much-anticipated Black Friday sales, and the mall proved to be a shopper's paradise.

One of the notable features of the mall is its comprehensive layout. The ground floor hosts an array of enticing restaurants, providing a diverse culinary experience. From local delights to international cuisines, the options are varied and satisfying. This arrangement made it incredibly convenient to grab a bite without straying too far from the shopping action.

Venturing onto the first floor, I discovered a retail wonderland. The shopping malls offer a plethora of stores catering to diverse tastes and preferences. Whether seeking high-end fashion, electronics, or everyday essentials, the mall boasts a collection that is both extensive and varied. The Black Friday deals added an extra layer of excitement, allowing me to indulge in guilt-free shopping right under the same roof where I was lodging.

What sets Hoog Catharijne apart is its strategic location. Directly outside the mall is the Utrecht Central Station, providing seamless connectivity. This integration of a hotel, shopping center, and transport hub in one locale is a rarity, offering unparalleled convenience for travelers. It eliminates the need to navigate through the city, making every essential amenity easily accessible.

my experience at Hoog Catharijne was nothing short of delightful. The harmonious combination of a luxurious stay, diverse shopping options, and easy access to transportation makes it a destination worth revisiting. I left with a sense of satisfaction, eagerly anticipating my next visit to this all-encompassing haven.

Utrecht’s Hoog Catharijne Mall is a quite large Mall located next to the Utrecht Central Train Station. Quite a variety of stores from Home Goods at very, very low prices to more upscale Jewelry, and clothes. Good eating there too! From fast food including a chips place, KFC and Five Guys to Italian and Chinese as well.

Very big mall in Utrecht, best place for shopping with multiple stores. Just outside Utrecht centraal and no need to travel far. All type of stores available for shopping. Kids play area is also available to entertain kids

Love this space, but be carefully preferably go in the morning hours at around 11 am to avoid the crowds but if you don't mind the crowd then it's a great place to shop, eat and it's close to the Utrecht Central train station.

Nice and tidy with many spots to sit around the corner. I loved lighting and decorations. But you have to consider it's a crowded and popular center with famous shops like Primark, Not the best place to chill.
Nothing specific for tourists, it's more of a downtown for locals.

A very pleasant shopping mall in Utrecht city center. Not only it has an impressive design from the outside, but it is even more impressive from the inside, as design and architecture are well thoughtful. In the middle there's a very peaceful plaza with a unique fountain, surrounded by lots of cafes.

Lovely, modern gallery with a great interior design, close by the Utrecht Central station. Great place to visit, plenty of shops and restaurants. Recommended to visit if you are in Utrecht!

Modern and full of variety shopping mall. You’ll find plenty of places to eat, shopping for clothes, mobile phones and the associated plans. Includes Crown Plaza Utrecht hotel over the canal.

There is easy access from the Central railway station. With easy mobility impaired wheelchair access.

The forecourt entrance is a very impressive architectural masterpiece.

One word ...Huge! A massive Mall with all the shops you can think of including entertainment and food. This is a must visit if you are in Utrecht. The location leads you towards vredenburg and the Old town. That's one day gone already! So give give yourself time to linger over and enjoy the shopping, sights, atmosphere, food, drinks..... loved it

Good location in the center and near train station. There is a lot of shop there.

Love shopping there ! I like the idea they created a mall with all inside, like a gallery with a mix of all ! + with the dutch weather it's always better to shop in a place where you don't get wet when u leave a shop !
A lot of things to find and practical if u need to catch your train or bus as it's next to

This is a huge mall that has a taste for everyone, from electronics to jewelry to clothes to games to parfume shop to candy shop to food shops/restaurants and many more. They have a restroom, information helpdesk, elevators, staircases, escalators, several benches (honestly they need to add more since they are usually occupied), multiple entryways, decorations at the big main halls down below. There is a mall map.

You are walking around in a big square no matter if you are on the bottom or upper floor. The place is usually crowded but especially crowded during seasonal times (like on these pictures as they are made before christmas time).

The temperature inside is on a normal level and is neither too warm or cold. This mall may not be the best for bad walkers or people that needs to sit down often since you may not be able to find a suitable sitting place(lack of benches due the x amount of visitors).

The mall is easy to be found and it is planted right next to the Utrecht train station.

I haven't seen much or many security guards walking around but nonetheless i felt safe enough. There is a notification board outside the main entrance saying "beware for pickpockets". This should not scare you away though. There are security camera's inside of the mall and some of them could be seen on my pictures.

I think the best shopping center in the Nederlands

Although I am not a big fan of shopping malls, this one is quite convenient as it is located right next to the central station of Utrecht. There are couple of nice restaurants and cafes in it. If you go by car, there is a huge indoors parking lot located below the shopping mall.

BEAUTIFUL Mall! Utrecht in general is very nice, recommend visiting!

You can find anything imaginable under one roof

It amazing shopping mall everything is there and also around the shopping mall lot of shops to do the shopping and the view is so beautiful, plus I have dinner there they have a halal restaurant Lebanese restaurant

Hoog Catharijne has it all. It looks like any luxurious, spacious, and busy shopping center anywhere in the world. You can buy the world's largest brands available. Walking around is an adventure in itself. Also not to get lost. Restaurants are located on the ground floor, all the shops and the trainstation are on the first floor. you can easily spend a whole day in the building if it's raining outside.
