Groningen Station

Nice city in summer. Lots of art and some signs of over bike-population. Careful on the streets!

Gateway to the city of Groningen! Not the best train station in the netherland indeed, since it most of it still under constuction (seems like really big expansion from the OG building). Cleanliness is okay, there are several shops there, and nothing could go wrong with this beatiful train station

Unique station with a beautiful historical building. The station has a Starbucks cafe inside, in addition to the help desk. There are many screens to display the train's time and place. Everything is organized and clean.

Everybody in the Netherlands should visit this train station at least once: it is very impressive and beautiful. There are several shops and facilities, including AH, Etos and Starbucks.

Old historical place. Good that it’s saved until out time and we can see the ant culture from the art. Nice place for take a few photos)

Old colourful architecture, good food and gracious people make this city one of the best cities in the Netherlands. The Forum, Werkmans, Oasis the coffeeshop, Martini kerk and the Grote markt are the must watch. I would also recommend a bus ride in the tandem bus (plus it's fully electric)

Great station. Nice waiting room. Friendly officer. Can topup OV card. Very clean. Clear signage. Big parking space for bikes. The building look classy and classic. Magnet for selfies. Just a couple of minutes walking to the central of the city. On time schedule. Minimarket available.

For someone from Asia like me, the architecture of the building itself are amazing.
Moreover the interior design of the main hall, it's great to see.
As far as I noticed, there are no barrier to enter the platform, people are freely going here and there. (Your train ticket will be checked on the train)

For foreigner, you can get the public transport card (ov chipkaart) at the main hall. You can also top it up using your foreign card or cash here (this service might not available in other public transport counter)

It's not a super big station like Amsterdam central, you can easily take your train here...

I just visited this place yesterday, the hall is quite small but pretty with classic style.

Groningen Centraal is probably the prettiest train station right after the Amsterdam Centraal. The building itself it is very beautiful, and the surrounding area in front of the train station is great. Easy to buy tickets and find the platforms, easy to navigate.

Beautiful building, one of my faves even after years of living here. Aside from a Starbucks you can also get flowers, quick snacks and so some light groceries here!

University town with the call to be different and it is really so!

The city is very beautiful and clean. It has many beautiful and attractive shops.

Groningen train station is very good station with good staff management that will always give you adequate attention whenever you have issues. Constructive is still on going to met up with other train station. Indeed it's a place to be in the Northern part of Netherland.

Lovely little historical train station 🚉.
Toilets are near platform 2b and they cost 70 cents. The train station seems to be kept in good order. At the time of my presence, they were doing some work so everything was not in full order. There is a huge bike parking underneath the train station which seems to be monitored 24/7 by cctv! The station is also literally in the city centre so it’s very easy to go to your hotel or other!

The station is a Historical monument. You should not miss the main hall!
