This was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a burger done well. And this exceeded my expectations. From tender burger to soft brioche bun, not to mention the cheddar and bacon -and crispy tomato and lettuce. Perfect execution, maybe a bit hard to eat but that is a luxurious problem. Fries were extra but wow, wonderful double cooked fries. Shows that when a talented team makes something basic you can see magic happen. Oh and my small well behaved dog was also allowed.

We’ve had a great experience here! The dishes were all surprising and a taste sensation. Good variety between dishes. Wonderful cheeses for dessert (I picked the 4-course surprise menu; there was also option for a sweet dessert). And they have really good alcohol-free cocktails, you don't find these very often. Beautiful building, very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, good music. The chef also came to chat at our table, where do you find that these days? I will definitely come back, really enjoyed it! It’s hands down one of the better restaurants Haarlem has to offer!

Cosy restaurant with rather high class cuisine. What you’ll get for your money is incredible! I mean, a 5-course-menu for 62€? You can’t complain at all. The quality was outstanding and the different course came along with lots of surprises for your senses.

The service was really nice and attentive. We were served by three different people. All absolutely passionate about their work.

A great place to go with friends to have a very very good diner (Michelin star level) for a pretty affordable price (45e for a 4 course menu)
The food was excellent et big proportions for this kind of menu!
They really took care of our tastes & allergies which was really convenient:)
Wine pairing was good but it wasn't really great wines (for french people I mean ahah) but still a good option and affordable !

Great restaurant experience. Although the place is cosy, small and unpretentious, the food is superb. The chefs prepare and cook everything themselves, sauces, ingredients and sides up to the last detail in an open kitchen, in a transparent and honest way. I love the way everything was cooked on the spot, original food and taste combinations, beautifully presented. very good quality for the price.

Amazing lunch/surprise 3 course menu. Dishes cooked to perfection , complex multi layered flavors. Great wine pairing. Pickled mushrooms are to die for! 5 stars without hesitation!

Ordered á la carte. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The chef dares some interesting combinations of flavours in its dishes and succeeds. Service wasn't fast, but it was peak hour. Recommended.

Delicious and thoughtful food plus an excellent service. We ate on the terrace and took the 4 surprise courses, we loved it!There are nice little tables in front as well, beautiful place too.

Good combination between chill and chique. A very nice restaurant, with high quality very tasteful surprise menus of 3, 4 or 5 courses. Also surprisingly tasty vegetarian options. The location in a cozy quiet street close to the main square was super. The restaurant itself looks nice with an open kitchen. The waiters were very friendly and relaxed.

Very nice restaurant in a pittoresque street. Seating outside is possible and very nice and not too busy. Food was great, served by extremely friendly and helpful staff. 3-5 course surprise menu for a reasonable price. We had a highly recommended fish "Bijfang" with Risotto.

I've eaten here three times now and it was delicious every time. Special shout out to the chef for making the five course surprise menu work for every member of our party, every time. The vegetarian and vegan options don't just feel like substitutions, but like well thought out and balanced dishes that stand on their own. We had a pregnant person in the party too, and the kitchen staff are obviously knowledgeable about what is safe to eat and what should be swapped. Really good!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there. The food was awesome, the staff friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was very nice. We had a great experience. It's probably the best restaurant we've been to in Haarlem.

This is an amazing restaurant! Staff are amazing. Food is amazing. Prices are very fair and compared to Canada, a bargain! A four course (did I mention amazing?) meal for two with generous wine pairing (they top you up if they like you!) was $160 Euro with 2 bottles of sparking water. Every dish was very nicely presented with amazing flavours. I can't recommend this more highly - 6 stars. Atmosphere was also lovely. My only ask, which would not prevent me going back... More "kitty-corner" seating 🙂

This is my favourite restaurant in Haarlem. The food is great every time. And the service is just brilliant.

Very good place, great food and very good service. We been at lunchtime and we were the only guests in the restaurant (14:30 late lunch). We will comeback for dinner as well!
