Caesar salad with massive chunks of chicken and ham through it!!!! Some of the best calamari I've had in a very long time. Wonderful super soft rare tournedo with a tasty pepper sauce 😋! And ice cream sudae with hot chocolate sauce. It was the best way to end the day in Haarlem.

Really delicious food and good sized portion. I shared the chateaubriand with a friend and we were both extremely happy with it! I’m looking forward to coming back!

Nice and cozy location.
The carpaccio was tasteful and rich and you get the pepper ground with a giant pepper mill!
The 500gr Ribeye and the tournedos were very well prepared and served on quite some vegetables, which wasn't displayed on the menu so we ordered extra vegetables and couldn't finish everything.

Delicious calamari and shrimp pila pila appetizers plus hearty mains like pork loin with brie, kabab grill, white fish, and ribeye. Wine and beer selection to suit. Too full for dessert!

Good food and good service at a lovely cozy spot in the centre of Haarlem. There’s a wide selection of food, each paired with a beer suggestion. They have a reasonable wine selection as well. It gets busy any day so reservations are recommended.

I spent an amazing evening with friends there. Excellent food and excellent choice of beers.

We were a party of 8. Each ordered different dish and everybody was happy. I liked my tiger prawns! If you skipped the lunch that day, make sure you order a starter just for good measure.

Lovely place for Italian food and specialties. They have an open fire kitchen going, with a chef cooking meats and vegetables as requested. I had an interesting and tasty interpretation of a vegetarian quiche and I enjoyed my visit very much.

The restaurant was the best foods that i tried in netherlands. All the foods were delicious. You wont regret it. Id like to go the restaurant again when i visit to haarlem.

Visited this restaurant and had a wonderful evening. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive - created a brilliant relaxed atmosphere.
The menu had so much to choose from ...we went with "Beef Salad" and "11th Commandment" (a meat combo).
Both dishes were beautifully presented and the meat was high quality and perfectly cooked.
One of the best restaurant meals we have had.

Excellent service, amazing food and wine, and cozy ambience. Our group of 6 ordered steaks and we were served quite fast, and given plenty of time to enjoy our dinner despite it being a busy evening at the restaurant. The waiting staff are attentive and always available to help when needed.

The steak was amazingly well prepared and composed with excellent choice of vegetables on the side, I save this spot to come back in the future and share it with family. Stuff were quick, friendly and professional, 10/10!

The food is so delicious, this is definitely my favorite restaurant i’ve been to, i do think the desserts could be a little bigger and when i ordered water i got a glass of lukewarm tap water instead of a bottle and i thought that was a little weird but i definitely recommend this!

Highly recommend! Everything was delicious! From the starter with Calamari to the entire meal. We taste tested each other's orders in our group & there was nothing that didn't taste phenomenal! Wished we could've ordered one of everything 🥰😋

Amazing food, great service. We should come here more often. Also cool that kids get actual food on the kids menu, like a schnitzel or steak. Extra points for that. :)

Absolutely one of the best Lamb meals I have ever had.
01/2020. Had a chance to return Haarlem. Had lamb at De Kale Peter again. It was just as good as last time. They had a new salad that had a touch of mint in it. It was great with the lamb. Outstanding meal and very friendly service.
