Fabulous experience in central Haarlem. Delicious 4 course surprise menu, served with great service and smiles. Felt very at home eating here, which is nice when one travels by oneself. All dishes top-notch and lovely wines, but the haddock was something sublime. I'll be back!

Amazing food, lovely staff, and a romantic atmosphere. My boyfriend and I went here for an anniversary dinner date night and loved it. We got the chateaubriand as our main and it was easily one of my favorite meals in Haarlem. Highly recommend!!

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing location and really reasonably priced! I had the four course surprise menu with the cheese and it was by far the best food I had while in the Netherlands. I was dining solo and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Can't recommend highly enough.

This is place is a gem in a busy Haarlem street. Was very impressed by their menu and the attentiveness of their staff. Place is very cozy so make sure to make a reservation.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and wow were we surprised. The staff offered us a table upon turning up despite being pretty full (we were lucky as others without a reservation did not find a table after us). Super good food, great portions and to top it all off - excellent service. Absolutely recommend visiting, we were so glad to have found BastiJan after a long day of exploring.

Went here on a Thursday night and it has a nice and cozy atmosphere. We ordered the 4 course chefs surprise menu, very tasty. The staff was super friendly and helpful. He also gave us good tips for wine pairing with the meal. I would definitely go again.

Great service, great food! We tried Chateaubriand and even the roasted patotoes were spectacular! Their selection of wines were ideal! And the prices are quite fair, I would even pay more! Just try and you will not be disappointed!

As mentioned before, the staff know their stuff; they are attentive, pleasant, and clearly care about the food and customers alike. Unassuming from outside - you can almost miss it, inside the ambiance is lovely. The food itself is some of the best we ever had, cooked to perfection. The prices are very reasonable for the experience. All in all the perfect balance, and a must visit.

Great value for money and fantastic food. I really recommend Marinated tuna. Staff and chef were also very friendly and nice!

We had a wonderful evening at BastiJan, we took the chef's recommended 4 course meal and it was great. Sitting with friends for relaxed dinner, with wine and with fine dishes coming out at the right pace and with an atmosphere just right for talking. Perfect.

Excellent food and service. The veal stew was amazing! Highly recommend.

Chef's suprise menu was absolutely great. Tuna tartare, duck and asperges, calve.
The whole place was served by two people! Incredible service and delicious food.

Recommend the 4 courses option. Every dish seemed a bit experimental and all were perfect.
