We had a fantastic dinner here today, we had our own reasons to celebrate but is also King’s day so the vibe was there in the restaurant as well. Such an excellent 5- course menu, very satisfying combinations of different tastes and texture! congrats to chefs! 🤩🤩 We went for wine pairing half glass per person was already more than enough, as we had chance to drink 9 different wines (with cheese plate you get 5). 3 different amuse-bouche we are served, which were way too nice 👏 Such a lovely staff here also 🌸 l had been at top restaurants around the Europe, by far the best for the price. Congratulations 🍾

The staff is exceptionally friendly and hospitable, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. Pricey, but worth it in my opinion. It's a charming spot where you can enjoy good food, good wine, and genuine hospitality.

What a fantastic time we had dining here for dinner. The whole experience was amazing, and food to die for. Our server, Gijs, and he not only explained our email, but our pairings. One of us did a wine pairing and the other a beer pairing. It was an amazing meal and experience!

Sound concept. The aim is to enjoy good food. This is not possible without the high quality of the processed local products, and higher, inspired cookery combined with a prudent selection of beverages (also non-alcoholic) in a pleasently relaxed setting at two sites in Groningen. We had a wonderful surprise dinner (with allergies well considered).

The food is amazing: modern and innovative without being pretentious. They have one set menu that changes constantly and is supplied by local suppliers. The best way to describe the cuisine would be culinary and refined but without trying to much.
Honestly impressive food.

And than the atmosphere: refined and intimate without being overly trendy and obnoxious. Perfect for a date, a family dinner but also for a long evening with friends.

And as if I can anymore gushing: the service is outstanding. Kind, knowledgeable and accommodating.

Did i mention their beverages yet? They offer a very reasonably priced wine pairing with the menu, wine not your thing? Beer pairing: No alcoholic? They offer a juice pairing ad well! Can't make up your mind? No problem just choose the kind of drink you want with every course.

The restaurant is living room style. Meaning no loud music and an intimate and personal atmosphere. Perfect for those of us who enjoy great food and perfect service but are done with "concepts" and loud and dark restaurants.

Honestly, if after this review you are still not convinced to visit: don't go. I didn't even really wanna write this review cause I wanted to keep this gem to myself. But the restaurant deserves all praise.

My favourite restaurant in Groningen. Every time the food is amazing, they are flexible with dietary restrictions and the ambience is nice. Highly recommend!!

The place was amazing. Simply amazing. It's very small, cosy and the atmosphere is chill and cuddling. The waiters are very nice and helpful and the food is a mix of flavours and imagination that it cannot be described by words.
I tried the surprise menu and I was indeed surprised as well as amazed.

An excellent set of dishes, the standout being the tuna tartare. The staff and owner were extremely welcoming, warm and funny.

I love the all experience in the restaurant. The food is extraordinary, the people are very friendly and polite, the drink without alcohol was different but very juicy. I Recommend every one in Groningen to visit it.

Great place! I do not understand why the sign says grand-cafe, but it is an excellent restaurant with brilliant food with good wine pairings! I love that they also have a beer pairing for the menu, although I did not try it.
