We had such a nice evening! Food was very good and particular, the atmosphere super nice and service efficient. The two waitresses were really amazing 🥰

The food was incredible. Moreover the restaurant really outdid itself regarding the service. Especially the pairing of wines and the selection of deserts astonished me. Will definitely come here again.

Last Thursday, my partner and I enjoyed am 8 course plant based menu at Houdt van Eten along with some cocktails. What a great place to eat! We specifically enjoyed the deep fried tempura veggies & the hummus burgers. The waiters were very friendly & the Frozen Mar-gin-rita cocktail was such a fresh surprise! Would go there again any day of the week!

Houdt van Eten is a truly special place with exquisite food and first class service. The team has excellent wine knowledge and a great selection of Grand Crus and desert wines. Our special thanks to Joshua and the whole team for making this evening so memorable for us.

What a nice restaurant! The service is great, very kind and observing. The food was delicious, our table was half vegan and the kitchen made sure to give it the same experience as the “regular” side. Definitely loved the cocktails (Mar-gin-rita & Lemon Cheesecake were amazing!! 🥰).
One of the servers definitely knew his wine knowledge.

With a small menu at the helm, they deliver amazing quality of food. The host is extremely warm and friendly. They have a great selection of wines and they use the freshest ingredients available. The service was quick too and the proteins were cooked to perfection.

Loved the squid ink butter. It was extraordinary.

A very nice restaurant at the town of Groningen. The service was nice and the waiter funny. Food was good too. Not a huge menu to choose from which from my personal experience is great as the people focus on a few plates and better quality. Their wines are also amazing. It is a bit pricey but well...worth it.

Great place, original dishes of excellent quality and friendly and helpful staff. One of our favourites was the gazpacho with strawberries, delicious! Also the tendre tournedos with a piece of oxtail was succulent.
The staff did their best to explain about the food and the wines that were arranged with it, we had a few good laughs with them.
Our Karma was exceptional that night because we got a tasty dessert on the house.

Friendly staff, very good food and a nice atmosphere. Avoid sitting close to the door when it’s cold. Loved the carpaccio and the tournedos was great. Home made French fries tasted good. Not cheap but the food is worth it.

The Dutch say - it's like an angel pissing on your tongue... a bit bold, yes, but I definitely found the angel at 'houdt van eten'.
Beautiful food, presented stylishly. We were lucky to be here on a quiet evening, so the service was above and beyond. Well impressed - and this comes from someone with many years of hospitality experience. On the right track - keep up the good work.

A really nice restaurant. The food was original, with a nice selection of different foods. I had the vegetarian option which was excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful too.
