Florentin Groningen

Went for tasting menu "FLO.Balagan" and were really full after everything. Lots of textures, flavours, and combinations. Loved it!

Florentin is a great place to enjoy a special event dinner with your loved ones. Not a usual place for regular event considering the slightly high price tag, the food quality and services are worth the price.
I like the fact that I can have a la carte options next to the set menu. The pita and dips are very nice and hearty. The salmon in yuzu sauce is refreshing and tantalizing on taste buds. The monk fish is also a must try. And of course the balagan dessert is the highlight whereby the staff prepares and explains right at the table.
When ordering the gin and tonic, I thought the staff said they made their own gin. It turned out I misunderstood. The gin is fever-tree and only the combination with herbs was different later. It was okie but I expected differently.
Although we came late 30’ and still had to go with our dining time period of 2 hrs, the staff was very courteous and friendly to remind and let us stay technically till we finished. Excellent service for the staff team.

Had a fantastic experience here, the food was very creative and tasty, you can see they take a lot of care and attention to each dish. The service was great and the atmosphere is cosy. We came here for our 1st wedding anniversary and really appreciated the extra touch of a big sparkler at the end of our meal, we will definitely be back for another visit soon!

The strongest aspect of this place is that it's so not one dimensional. They have great cocktails (incl. Non alc) on the menu, know how to make them, great wines and know what to serve, great food that fills you up and makes you feel happy. That in an atmosphere of plants and chill music. Awesome place in essence

Decided to try this place for the Love Brunch for the Valentine's day. Certainly happy we did so, as It was a great food/service experience. Everything was fresh and delicious, the meat cooked well, so it was a pleasure to eat. The desert was both creative and tasty too. People serving were very kind and we never had to wait long.
Food quality/amount/price ratio was great.

We will definitely be back for more.

Wonderful gastronomic place. Visited it for my birthday during the trip to Holland. Didn’t expect anything, but was surprised with exceptional service and amazing creative food. We’ve ordered 2 tasting menues Balagan with wine pairings. Local chef cached eel the night before. Mackerel was beyond words great. Eel and caponata with feta were breathtaking. Dips, especially the tomato/apricot were delicious. The balagan dessert was super creative and tasty. Michelin star experience costed about 140 for the whole thing for 2 people! Highly recommend this place

We just enjoyed a wonderful mother's day brunch! We're so happy we booked and came there, thank you to Eric and the very sweet staff too including Mariska who made sure to check up on us regularly for drinks etc. The food was delicious, the homemade selection of lemonades were yummy and the cava was flowing and and best of all we loved the Balagan dessert, we will definitely be back again!😍❤🌷

A unique experience and concept which is all about the Flo! Super friendly and attentive service, live DJ playing in the background. No table available so we ate at the bar - great spot.

I had the Tel-Aviv Veggie bowl and my son had the Asian style mussels. Both amazing dishes. Feel like I was transported from a cloudy Groningen evening to sunny Tel-Aviv for a couple of hours.

Tasty and welcoming place with a smiling & friendly service.
Ceviche has a nice wasabi twist and the rest of the food was delicious as well.

So if you haven't tried it yet you should stop by.

My favourite restaurant in Groningen! Tasty food and larger-than-average portion size. The menu is short (and this is a pro for me): in each section (starters, sides, main courses) you can find an option with meat, one with fish and a vegetarian one. Most likely it's a seasonal menu. All this nice food is surrounded by a very cozy place, with lots of plants and a dj set. 100% recommended!

Absolutely amazing experience, I could not recommend this place enough. We had the 5 course surprise meal and we all found each dish exceptional. Staff were amazing at explaining and ensuring we were having a good time. 100% recommend visiting.

It’s impossible to communicate in a Google review how good this place is. Top ten meals of my life. If you’re in Groningen, you must eat here. The food is amazing and so is the staff. Attentive, kind, and cool people who do an amazing job running this place. Not a single detail is overlooked.

It is one of my favorite restaurant in the city.. The chef and the staff is just so talented and creative. They combine a lot of different ingredients and bring you a super fresh/tasty food!
